Hotel Okura Tokyo
“The Okura Tokyo,” which was renewed from Hotel Okura Tokyo on September 12, 2019. The big windows in the room on the 40th floor where I stayed overlooked the New National Stadium, Roppongi and Tokyo. The scenery from the room is very beautiful.
The hotel had just been reopened as The Okura Hotel on September 12, 2019, after the Hotel Okura Tokyo was renovated. It consists of two buildings; a 41-story “Okura Prestige Tower” and a 17-story “Okura Heritage Wing.”
The room was 47-48 square meters in size, so it was spacious. Because the hotel was just renovated, the room was clean and beautiful.
The view from the big window was splendid. All the rooms of the Prestige Tower are on the 28th floor or above, so you can enjoy a nice view from any room.
Park Hyatt Tokyo
“Park Hyatt Tokyo” is one of Tokyo’s leading luxury hotels, located at 39F-52F of Shinjuku Park Tower, a tall building in Nishi-Shinjuku.
Even though the hotel is in the middle of the city where there are many tall buildings standing, it still has an overwhelming presence.
The room was modern with a king size bed and it was a comfortable space.
“New York Grill” on the 52nd floor which is the top floor.
Hyatt Regency Tokyo
“Hyatt Regency Tokyo” is right next to the Tokyo Metropolitan Government. There is a gym and pool on the top floor. Although it has been many years since the hotel was built, it is kept clean and the cafe on the first floor was renewed last year and was fashionable.
The lobby with gorgeous chandeliers and a beautiful stained glass was spectacular.
The guest room has a size of 33 square meters, and there is a sofa, a spacious desk, but still plenty of space to open up my luggage and have some extra space.
The Capitol Hotel Tokyu
“The Capitol Hotel Tokyu” is located in Nagatacho, Chiyoda-ku, connected to the National Diet Dozenmae Station and Tameike-Sanno Station with Hie Shrine next to it. The hotel is based on a modern Japanese style and offers a relaxing atmosphere in the heart of the city.
The lobby is spacious and luxurious with a modern feel. This is an area designed by an architect named Kengo Sakai who also designed the new National Stadium, which will be the main venue of the Tokyo Olympics and Paralympic Games in 2020.
At night, I could see the nice night view from my bed, and I was able to spend an extravagant time.

The Tokyo Station Hotel
“The Tokyo Station Hotel” has completely renovated the hotel area inside Tokyo Station Marunouchi Station, an important cultural property, and has only a station building that was reopened in 2012.
The hotel was lit up at night and it was beautiful.
This hotel was chosen as a “Small Luxury Hotels of the World,” which consists of independent small luxury hotels with individuality that meet the standards. In Japan, only 12 hotels and accommodations are members, and this hotel is one of them, which is amazing!
The Palace Side Superior Twin had classical furniture, giving the atmosphere of a European palace.
Mitsui Garden Hotel Jingu-Gaien Tokyo Premier
Mitsui Garden Hotel Jingu Gaien Kashiwa Premier” is a new hotel that opened in November 2019. It is located in front of the New National Stadium, a 5-minute walk from JR Sendagaya Station and a 1-minute walk from the Subway National Stadium Station, surrounded by the rich greenery of Jingu Gaien and Shinjuku Gyoen.
The room has a calm and modern atmosphere and it is not very big, but was a comfortable space. The bed was semi-double which was spacious and comfortable to sleep on.
There is a spacious balcony with a glass protection, so the view is very nice. At night, you can see the wonderful night lights of the skyscrapers above the trees of Jingu Gaien.

Odakyu Hotel Century Southern Tower
“Odakyu Hotel Century Southern Tower” is located at the back of the Southern Terrace of Shinjuku Station. The night view of Shinjuku Station and the streets were very beautiful from the hotel. The hotel has never been renovated, but it is well-maintained and is very relaxing. It is built in a convenient location, to I had no trouble finding a place to visit and shop.
The room was simple and modern, with beige colors. There was a king size bed with a width of 180cm, but the room was still spacious.
I was able to see Shinjuku Station bellow, NTT Docomo Yoyogi Building in the foreground and Tokyo Tower in the back. The view was amazing from the room.
Odakyu Hotel Century Southern Tower
Hotel Chinzanso Tokyo
“Hotel Chinzanso Tokyo” is located in a Japanese garden. You can escape from the busy city and enjoy a quiet time in the garden. The hospitality of the staff is reputed for being high.
The lobby is spacious and has nice chairs and tables so you can relax. A lot of expensive dishes and figurines are displayed.
The bed is order made by a famous company called Sealy, and it was very comfortable to sleep on. I was able to sleep well.
Chinzan-so has a garden that makes you forget that you are in the middle of a big city. Walking in this garden makes me happy, no matter how many times I come here. Fresh green and autumn leaves are the best season.
Oakwood Premier Tokyo
“Oakwood Premier Tokyo” is a residence hotel with a kitchen in every room. Because it is close to Tokyo Station and Ginza, it is easy to prepare ingredients at the antenna shop and Daimaru, the kitchen is spacious and cooking is easy. You can dine while enjoying the view of the city.
The interior is bright and the ceiling is high, giving a clean impression. It’s more like a luxury apartment than a hotel. The bed was king size, so it was big enough to sleep with two people.
The kitchen had two IH cooking heaters and an oven. It was also nice that there was a big fridge.
Cerulean Tower Tokyu Hotel
“Cerulean Tower Tokyu Hotel” is a hotel in Shibuya with good transportation. It is a high-rise hotel with a nice night view.
The decorations, such as paintings, were not flashy and the interior was simple and practical.
Because there are no tall buildings standing nearby, the view from the large window was very nice and I was able to see the city of Shibuya.
Cerulean Tower Tokyu Hotel
The Westin Tokyo
The interior is decorated with bright gold and wood. The contrast between the black floor black and the white ceiling made the area look bigger.
The rooms is based on dark wood and the lighting is soft, creating a calm and elegant space. Facilities such as air conditioning felt a bit old, but it matched the classical atmosphere of the room.
Breakfast is a buffet style serving international dishes.
The Prince Gallery Tokyo Kioicho, A Luxury Collection Hotel
The hotel is located on the 30th to 36th floors of the higher floors of Tokyo Garden Terrace Kioicho, a building with commercial facilities such as offices and restaurants. The exterior is a modern building with a beautiful blue sky reflecting on the walls.
The room was spacious with a clean design. The king size bed was soft and I was able to sleep very well. There were two large pillows prepared for each person, and it was very fluffy.
The view from the big widow was like a painting in a frame.
The Prince Gallery Tokyo Kioicho, a Luxury Collection Hotel
The Prince Sakura Tower Tokyo, Autograph Collection
“The Prince Sakura Tower Tokyo, Autograph Collection” is a designer hotel located a 3-minute walk away from Shinagawa Station. The Japanese garden is beautiful and can be seen from the guest rooms, and cherry blossoms bloom around the hotel in the spring.
The lobby was very beautiful, with a contemporary interior. It was very quiet, so the atmosphere was very comfortable. The lights were dim, creating a high-class feel.
The bedroom was spacious, very bright and clean. The bed was very big with a hard mattress that was comfortable to sleep on. There was a sofa and a able by the window. You an sit by the window and enjoy the view.

InterContinental Tokyo Bay
“InterContinental Tokyo Bay Hotel” is connected to Yurikamome Takeshiba Station. The front lobby is spacious, with a nice chandelier hanging from the ceiling, shelves decorated with fine folding screen paintings and luxurious teapot ornaments displayed. It is quiet and a calm atmosphere.
The room was not exceptionally big, but it was clean and I was able to spend a comfortable time in the room. The view of Sumida River was nice from the window.
There are many restaurants and bars in the hotel. This is the “New York Lounge” on the first floor.
InterContinental Tokyo Bay
Keio Plaza Hotel Tokyo
“Keio Plaza Hotel” is a luxury hotel consisting of a 47-story main building and a 34-story south building located just a 5-minute walk from Shinjuku Station West Exit (JR/ Private Railway/Subway) and Toei Oedo Line Tochomae Station.
The bed is a long sized king bed. The room is not extremely big, but it was spacious enough for me. It was a room with a calm color and an elegant atmosphere.
The night view is beautiful from the room.
Hilton Tokyo
The hotel is a 38-story building with an unusually curved shape. You can enjoy a full view of Shinjuku from the rooftop and enjoy tennis and bathing. Shinjuku Station is a 10-minute walk away, but there is also a free shuttle bus, and limousine bus that runs between the hotel and Haneda Airport and Narita Airport.
The room was a modern Japanese style with shoji screens and bamboo tiles, with elements that reminds you that you are in Japan.
On the first floor, there is a Marble Lounge, which is the ancestor of dessert buffets and has a popular dessert buffet that changes every season. On the second floor that follows the spiral staircase, the entire floor is a restaurant. Each shop has no large partitions, and it was an open space with a good atmosphere surrounding the atrium of the lobby.
Hilton Tokyo Odaiba
“Hilton Tokyo Odaiba” is an excellent hotel that is connected to the new transportation Yurikamome “Odaiba Station.” With overwhelming presence, the hotel has over 450 rooms and is listed as a 5-star hotel on Booking.com. Also, the view of Tokyo Bay from the guest room is the best! You can enjoy a wonderful view of Tokyo, Rainbow Bridge and Tokyo Tower.
Guest room had a calm atmosphere with a beige color, and I was able to spend a relaxing time in the room. In addition, there was a balcony, and I could enjoy a wonderful view of Tokyo Bay, mainly of Tokyo Tower, Rainbow Bridge and Sky Tree.
The Rainbow Bridge and Tokyo Tower lit up at night was amazing. It was the best view.
The Prince Park Tower Tokyo
“The Prince Park Tower Tokyo” has a nice night view, nature and the Tokyo Tower right in front of the hotel. If you go through the green forest of Shiba Park, you will feel like you are in another world. TOKYO URBAN RESORT “The Prince Park Tower Tokyo” is a high-rise hotel on the 33rd floor that can be monopolized from the top to the bottom of Tokyo Tower. It is a high-end city hotel with multiple suites and club floors. There is also a bowling alley, hot spring and a banquet hall.
Tokyo Tower is right next to the hotel.
The Corner King Room with a view of Tokyo Tower is a corner room with many windows and the upper floor of the 20th floor, so the scenery is wonderful.
I had dinner at the Sky Lounge “Stella Garden” on the 33rd floor. From the big windows you can see Tokyo Tower right in front of you, and enjoy food and drinks with the wonderful view.

Sheraton Miyako Hotel Tokyo
“Sheraton Miyako Hotel Tokyo” is located in Shirokanedai, Minato-ku, a peaceful environment blessed with nature even though it is in the middle of the city, so you can spend a relaxing time. The hotel has a chic décor and you can feel the elegance, and the cozy rooms with a modern touch and a Japanese taste will make your stay even better. The hotel has a Japanese garden and you can enjoy the seasonal changes.
The hotel is on Meguro Street and it is very easy to find. There was also a hotel sign in the hedge in front of the hotel.
The room based on the concept of “Kyo no Miyabi” is a spacious room of 38 square meters. It is a soft modern Japanese style room.
There is a big Japanese garden in the hotel.
Sheraton Miyako Hotel Tokyo
Marunouchi Hotel
“Marunouchi Hotel” is connected to the Marunouchi North Exit of Tokyo Station and Otemachi Station the underground passage. The hotel is located above the 7th floor of Marunouchi Oazo, and it is close to the railroad, but quiet and service is polite.
The hotel is located from above the 7th floor of Marunouchi Oazo.
The room is calm and not too bright. There was plenty of space to open up my suitcase. The bed was comfortable to sleep on.
You can choose between Japanese or Western breakfast and if you choose Western you will be shown to this restaurant. This is a French restaurant called “pomme d’Adam” on the 8th floor where I had breakfast. There is a terrace seating which is nice to sit at when the weather is nice.
JR Kyushu Hotel Blossom Shinjuku
JR Kyushu Hotel Blossom Shinjuku has only been open for 5 years, so the rooms were very clean, the ceiling was high and the facilities in the room were clean and easy to use. It is a 16-story building that is conveniently located a 3-minute walk away from JR Shinjuku Station South Exit.
The font desk had beautiful colors in the back ground and the color changes throughout the day.
The rooms was simple and clean. The bed is a Simmons pocket coil bed and was a 160cm wide queen size so it was nog enough for me to sleep on comfortably.
JR Kyushu Hotel Blossom Shinjuku
Haneda Excel Hotel Tokyu
“Haneda Excel Hotel Tokyu” is connected to the departure lobby of Haneda Airport Terminal 2, so it is very convenient for people flying into, or flying out of the airport. In the guest room facing the runway, you can see the arrival and departure of airplanes through the window and it is a popular hotel for people who like planes.
The room was not big, but it was simple and modern and had the minimum necessary items. The bright wood-grained wall made the room refreshing.
This room is also a room equipped with a flight simulator that mimics the Boeing 737-800 and was just made in July 2019. There is a 90-minute flight simulator experience plan that allows you to experience airplane operation under the guidance of an instructor who is familiar with the equipment.
Citadines Shinjuku Tokyo
“Citadines Shinjuku Tokyo” located a little ways from Shinjuku Station has rooms like a condominium. The room was spacious and equipped with facilities such as a kitchen, sofa and large storage space that would be nice for a medium to long term stay. There is also a laundry room and gym. The kitchen area is prepared with everything from pots, knives, cooking utensils to dishes. Although it is a little far from the downtown area, there is a supermarket nearby, so you can use the kitchen in the room to reduce your travel expenses by cooking yourself.
The guest room has a calm atmosphere with a kitchen, living room and a bedroom at the back.
There is a fully equipped kitchen with an IH stove, microwave, fridge, silverware and so on. It was very convenient.
Citadines Central Shinjuku Tokyo
Citadines Central Shinjuku Tokyo is a 14-story hotel that is an 8-minute walk from JR Shinjuku Station East Exit, diagonally opposite the Shinjuku Ward Office.
The room is not big with only 23 square meters, and there are two single beds, so there was no space to open up my suitcases. Although it may not be suitable for long-term stays, it was not a problem for an overnight stay, because the minimum facilities were equipped.
There is a restaurant called “Stella” on the 3rd floor where the front desk is located. The inside of the restaurant is long and narrow, and light comes through the large windows and from the ceiling, making it a bright and stylish space. Breakfast was a Western-Japanese style buffet.
Citadines Central Shinjuku Tokyo
Shinjuku Granbell Hotel
“Shinjuku Granbell Hotel” is located in the deepest part of Kabukicho. It is a 17-story designer hotel located a 4-minute walk away from Higashi-Shinjuku Station on the Fukutoshin Line and Oedo Line.
All the rooms are designed by many creators from Japan and from foreign countries, and it is interesting that each room has its own characteristics! My room was small with only 19 square meters, but it was a simple design that was refreshing.
You can see the city of Kabukicho from the room.
Royal Park Hotel Tokyo Haneda
“The Royal Park Hotel Tokyo Haneda” is a hotel connected to the Haneda Airport International Terminal. It is very convenient that the lobby is connecting to the departure lobby. This hotel combines convenience with a stylish design.
The room was not big, but the ceiling was a high, so it felt spacious. The room had a calm atmosphere where the color blue was used in some places, such as the wall on the headboard side of the bed, curtains, and bedspreads.
There were two 110cm wide beds which were slightly larger than average single size beds. The mattress was Sata brand which is a No.1 US hotel bed share, so the bed was comfortable to sleep on.
Royal Park Hotel Tokyo Haneda
Shinagawa Prince Hotel
“Shinagawa Prince Hotel” was just renovated in April of 2019, and the rooms are interesting targeting the “millennials.” It is located across Shinagawa Station Takanawa Exit.
The name of the room is called “Millenial Room,” with the wallpaper design being unique, and more than 30 floors are all non-smoking, which was comfortable. The bed was a king size bed, so I was able to role around on the big bed. The bed was very comfortable. I could see the nice view from all angles.
The wallpaper behind the sofa was stylish and unique by an illustrator called Hisashi Okawa who is active in a wide range of fields.
Hotel Gracery Shinjuku
“Hotel Gracery Shinjuku” is characterized by Godzilla that appeared in Shinjuku. The rooms on the higher floors were new and beautiful and the bathrooms were spacious. Guests can approach Godzilla and have breakfast next to it. The hotel is located in the middle of Shinjuku Kabukicho and is in a very convenient location, so you can go sightseeing or stay on a business trip.
The room I stayed in was not very big, so if you have a large suitcase, it may be difficult to get things out of your it. The room was simple and modern, and it was kept clean.
The Godzilla was impressive! There is a “Godzilla View Room” in the hotel, and you can feel the size and realism of this Godzilla head up close.
La’gent Hotel Shinjuku Kabukicho
It is a 9-story hotel. The exterior is modern and stylish, with gray walls and white lines. The red entrance stood out. There was a front desk on the right side after entering the hotel, and it was connected to the lobby and “CAFÉ & BAR Crospot.”
The room is small with only 15 square meters, so if you are staying with a large luggage, you may have difficulty getting into it. The room was decorated in a beige shade. There were two 110cm wide single beds.
There is an American-style sports bar called “CAFÉ & BAR Crospot” on the first floor. There were a lot of TVs above the counter to watch sports.
La’gent Hotel Shinjuku Kabukicho
MOXY Tokyo Kinshicho by Marriott
“Moxy Tokyo Kinshicho” is a stylish and functional designer hotel located in Kinshicho, the downtown area of Tokyo. It has designs that would want to make you want to take pictures here and there. There is a 24-hour lounge, gym, laundromat and a library in the hotel. The hotel has good access to the city center, and is conveniently located near tourist attractions such as the Sky Tree.
The room is not very big, but the atmosphere is like an apartment. The beds is queen size and spacious, and the Simmons mattresses was not too hard or too soft, so I was able to sleep well.
There is a library space at the lounge. A table with an outlet and USB port which is convenient for working.

Hotel Sunroute Plaza Shinjuku
“Hotel Sunroute Plaza Shinjuku” is about a 3 minute walk from Shinjuku Station. Access to the area around Shinjuku was good, and the room was compact and there was no inconvenience during my stay. Buses from the airport stops in front of this hotel, so it is recommended for those who need to get to places right away or people who are staying for work.
There was a sofa space in the lobby. The ceiling is high and and there are big windows, so it was an open space with bright sunlight coming in during the day.
The room was not so big, but it was a modern and calm room with dark brown furniture and warm gray based shades which was very relaxing.
Hotel Sunroute Plaza Shinjuku
Shinjuku Prince Hotel
“Shinjuku Prince Hotel” is connected to Seibu Railway and Seibu Shinjuku Station. The hotel and the station are in one of the best locations in Shinjuku, with easy access to Kabukicho, department stores and electronics stores. There are stores such as MUJI and Tokyu Hands in Seibu Shinjuku Pepe in the same building, so if you have something missing during your trip, you can go buy it easily. The reception is in the basement, and the guest rooms are on the upper floor, and the station and stores are on the middle floor.
My room was a small room with only 15 square meters, so if you are staying with large luggage, you may have trouble getting into your luggage. The room was chic with dark brown furniture and a black striped carpet.
The bed is 140cm wide, and it is big enough to sleep alone, but it may be a little tight for two people to sleep together.
