"Villa Fontaine Grand Tokyo Shiodome" is located in the Shiodome Sumitomo Building, which is connected to Shiodome Station. With an atrium lobby, spacious and modern design rooms and a sophisticated and stylish atmosphere, you can spend a relaxing and elegant time at this hotel.

The hotel is located on the 1st to 10th floors of the Shiodome Sumitomo Building, a skyscraper connected to Shiodome Station.

The hotel entrance is located next to the entrance of the Shiodome Sumitomo Building.
There are several entrances to the Shiodome Sumitomo Building, but the hotel entrance is located in the open atrium entrance hall, so you can get to the hotel smoothly no matter where you enter from.

The lobby is a colonnade making it feel very open and spacious.
The front lobby was also spacious, creating an open and luxurious atmosphere. It is a calm and elegant space using soft lighting.
The ceiling goes up to the 10th floor where the guest rooms are located.

There is a door in front of the elevator, and you can open it by holding the card key of the guest room over the sensor.

What is the Superior Queen with Sofa (2020 Renewal) like?

There was a closet and bathroom on the right and a full length mirror on the left.
The room was 20 square meters wide which was renewed in April 2020.
The bed was placed by the window, and there is a sofa next to the bed where you can sit comfortably.
The bed was 160 cm x 210 cm wide which was spacious, and the mattress was soft enough to support the body, and very comfortable to sleep on. Two types of pillows were prepared on the bed.
There was a light switch, outlet and a USB port on the headboard.

A sitting space with a sofa and a small round table.
There was a TV facing the sofa.
There was an outlet, universal outlet and a LAN port right next to the TV.

A window in the room.
There were many skyscrapers in the area, and the view from the window was of the city. I could also see railroad tracks bellow.

The bathroom was at the entrance.
The bathtub, sink and toilet were all in the same room.

Amenities included a toothbrush, razor, hairbrush, cotton & cotton swab, wash towel and 2 types of bath salts.

I was able to relax in the bathtub using the bath salt provided.
The shower was a removable hand shower. There was sufficient water pressure, and I had no problems with temperature control either.

There is a lobby lounge on the 1st floor, but it was closed during my stay (October 2020).
A breakfast buffet is served here. You can also rent the space during the day.
There was a corner selling items such as tableware and luxury items from all over Japan.

Hotel Surroundings
The hotel is connected to Shiodome Station and is located in a business district with many skyscrapers. There is a convenience store in the same building, and there are many restaurants and shops in the vicinity, making it a convenient location for traveling and dining. It is conveniently located near the train station in the city center, but there is also the Hamarikyu Gardens in the vicinity, so you can enjoy the nature as well. The Yurikamome Shiodome Station is right in front of the hotel, so you can easily access the Odaiba and Bay areas.

Staff and Guests
The staff were all polite and pleasant to interact with. I got the impression that there were many young couples in their 20s and 30s, groups of women, families and those staying on business tips at this hotel. A wide range of people were staying at this hotel.

The Toei Oedo Line and Yurikamome Shiodome Station are connected by an underground passage and pedestrian decks, so you can reach the hotel from the station without getting wet even on rainy days. It is within walking distance to Shimbashi Station and Hamamatsucho Station, and is conveniently located with easy access to major spots in Tokyo.
1 minute walk from “Shiodome Station” on the Oedo Line, directly connected with the underground passage.
It is also a 1-minute walk from the Yurikamome Shiodome Station.

Summary
I had a nice stay at “Villa Fontaine Grand Tokyo Shiodome.” The hotel in a skyscraper has a sophisticated and luxurious atmosphere, and I was able to stay in an elegant mood. The rooms were spacious and the calm and modern design was cozy. The hotel is connected to Shiodome Station, and the surrounding area is an urban environment with many skyscrapers, but there is a Hamarikyu Gardens nearby and you can enjoy the nature as well. It also has easy to access the main spots in Tokyo, so you can spend your time elegantly in a convenient location. I would love to stay here again.
