"Mitsui Garden Hotel Ginza 5-chome" opened in September 2019 and is conveniently located about a 1-minute walk from Higashi-Ginza Station. Modern art is displayed everywhere and you can enjoy the atmosphere of Ginza. There are Japanese and teppanyaki restaurants, a large communal bath, gym and other facilities in the hotel.

The hotel was facing a main street. It was a new and beautiful building with a simple and stylish design which blended in well with the cityscape of Ginza.
There was a big sign above the entrance.

The front desk was on the left.
The lobby was spacious, the ceiling was decorated with Japanese-style art, and the interior was a stylish modern Japanese design.
There was also a partitioned space surrounded by a grid in the back. You can see the tsubo-niwa from under the shoji window, and some people were having business meetings there.

What is the Standard Double Room like?

There was an open closet by the entrance.
There was a wall with hooks on the right and a bathroom on the left.
The room was about 17 square meters wide which was not very big, but it was functional and comfortable to spend time in. The color red used here and there made the room feel stylish.
The bed was 140cm wide, and I was able to sleep comfortably. The pillow was also comfortable and was a Mitsui Garden Hotels’ original pillow.
There was an outlet, USB port, light switch and a reading light on the headboard. There was also an alarm on the table.
There was a TV across the bed. Hotel information, remote controls, accessory cases, tissues and other equipment were also placed here.
In addition to watching regular TV programs on TV, it was convenient to check the congestion status of the large communal bath and the usage status of the laundry.
There was an outlet and a LAN port under the TV.

The view from my room was only of the wall of a building next door. The rooms facing Showa-dori have a better view. The windows opened a little, so you can ventilation the room.

The toilet, sink and bathtub were all in the same room.
A toilet with a washlet function.
Face & hand soap.
Amenities such as toothbrushes, razors, hairbrushes, cotton swabs, body wash towels and bags that could be used when using the public bath were prepared by the sink.
Hair dryer
Bath towels and face towels.
There was plenty of space to relax in the bathtub.
The shower was a removable hand shower. The water pressure and temperature were just right.

The cafe corner was housed in a cabinet in the corner of the room. There was an outlet on the top of the cabinet.

Restaurants in the hotel
There was a Japanese restaurant called “SHARI” serving exotic Japanese food and teppanyaki. The large windows made the restaurant feel wide.
I had lunch here and the food was delicious. Breakfast was served here as well.

Facilities in the hotel
There was a large communal bath exclusively for guests on the 2nd floor. The walls were tiled, the greenery outside the windows, and the softly lit, cozy public baths allowed me to relax and take a bath.

Hotel Surroundings
The hotel was conveniently located near the center of Ginza and close to the train station. There are many convenience stores, restaurants, department stores and luxury brand stores in the area, so you can enjoy shopping and eating out. It was close to Kabuki-za and Shinbashi Enbujo, and within walking distance of Hibiya Park and Hamarikyu Gardens. It is convenient to move, eat, and shop, and I think it is a good location where you can enjoy sightseeing in the surrounding area, not to mention Ginza.

Staff and Guests
The staff were polite and pleasant to interact with. The explanation at check-in was polite and easy to understand, and the restaurant staff were also polite and attentive. There were many guests staying alone.

It is about a 1-minute walk from Higashi-Ginza Station on the Tokyo Metro Hibiya Line and Toei Asakusa Line. It is a 5-minute walk from Ginza Station and within walking distance from JR Yurakucho Station and Shimbashi Station. It is a convenient location with easy access to the main spots in Tokyo.

Summary
I had a nice stay at the “Mitsui Garden Hotel Ginza 5-chome.” It was a new and clean hotel, and the rooms were functional, easy to use and comfortable to spend time in. The staff were very responsive, and the interior and guest rooms were decorated with modern art that felt Japanese, and the atmosphere was good. The calm and fashionable space was cozy, and I was able to spend a relaxing and elegant time. It was easy to get to Ginza, and also to the surrounding popular spots, so it wasn’t for sightseeing purposes, but I enjoyed going out for a while. I would love to stay here again.
