What is the Superior Twin Room like?

IMG_0120 (18)

Guest room door.

IMG_0120 (16)

It is a Japanese style room with a warm feeling to it. The bed was comfortable to sleep on, and the pillows were soft. Perhaps thanks to the comfort of the Monterey original 100% cotton pajamas, I fell asleep immediately.

IMG_0120 (23)

The mirror above the desk is big and does not get foggy. The desk was convenient to have when dressing up. There was an outlet in a convenient place to dry my hair or use my curling iron.

IMG_0120 (26)

My room had an extra bed by the window, but the window was designed not to let cold air come in and to block the sunlight which was very considerate.

IMG_0120 (24)

The window could only be opened slightly. There was a building in front of the room, but I could see Rokkakudo from the gap. The morning sun came in and it felt very nice Karasuma Street in front of you has a lot of traffic from the morning. The street in front of the hotel was under construction, so there was a note in the room apologizing for the noise. However, my room was on the upper floors, do the noise did not bother me at all.

Closet and safe

IMG_0120 (14)

The closet was tall and had plenty of room to hang long outfits. The wooden hangers that can also be used to hang trousers have a wide width, so you can hang thick coats. There was no safe in the closet.

There was Uji Sencha from Gion Tsujiri. There was a teapot and teacup, and there was an explanation of how to make a delicious cup of tea. Bottles of water were free for the number of people staying. There was also an electric kettle, which was useful making for tea and cooking instant food.

Restaurants in the hotel

IMG_0120 (27)

I did not eat at the restaurant in the hotel. It is a cafe & bar on the 1st floor, and I saw many business men and women having a break there. Because there is free wifi in the hotel, it is a nice place to do some work.

There was a “chapel.” It is a chapel for weddings. The ceiling glass above the chapel had a stained glass which was beautiful when it was sunny.

Staff and Guests

The service of a foreign staff was wonderful. He was very attentive and caring. The employees who work in the same hotel also have a high level of awareness and many of them greeted me every time they saw me.

Summary

I had a nice stay at this hotel. The Monterey Group has a theme and individuality at each hotel, so you can enjoy your stay. There was a lot of care and finding it was a pleasure. The service at this hotel is very good, and that is the reason why I stay at this hotel group so often. As for Monterey Kyoto, I enjoyed the hotel interior, which was designed based on the theme of a fusion of Kyoto’s good old Japanese taste and British culture. In addition, there is a ladies’ floor for ladies who want to stay at a hotel feeling safe. Tis hotel good access to major sightseeing spots which is very convenient and I would like to stay here again.
