I was looking for a hotel with three beds and in the city near tourist destinations. Many of the hotels were expensive, but "Shama Lakeview Asoke, Bangkok" was reasonable, so I decided to stay here. It would have been more convenient if the station was closer, but taxis are cheap in Bangkok, so it did not become an issue after all.

What is the appearance of the hotel? Check the entrance and reception

The entrance was simple and a little dark. There were no signs that stood out, so I had a little trouble finding the entrance.

There were 2 to 3 staff standing at the front desk during the day and 1 to 2 staff standing at night.

The lobby seemed a little dark to me.

What is the Deluxe Three Bedroom like?

I was hoping for a better room for the price I payed. It was simple and a little dark.

There was a bedroom with a big bed. There was a TV, but nothing else in the room, so there was plenty of extra space.

There was another bedroom with a medium sized bed. This room was connected to the bathroom and it even had a closet.

This is the smallest bedroom with two single size beds. There were no windows, so it was dark and I was able to sleep well. However, this room is not connected to the bathroom.

Bathroom

There were two bathrooms. There was a shower and a bathtub in the bigger bathroom. The water pressure for the shower was not very strong. The temperature was also a little hard to adjust.

The other bathroom had a bathtub/shower. The water pressure was weak, but the temperature was easier to adjust compared to the other bathroom.

The amenities provided were toothbrush, shampoo, treatment, body soap, body cream, bath bomb and a cotton swab.

The shampoo had a nice fragrance.

Restaurants in the hotel

There was a cafe serving breakfast. This was the only restaurant in the hotel.

Facilities in the hotel

There was a 25m wide swimming pool, I did not see anyone swimming in the pool during my stay.

Hotel Surroundings

It was convenient because there were convenience stores and ATMs around the hotel. However, there were no restaurants nearby, so I had to go else where to find a place to eat out. It seemed safe to walk around at night even alone. Not many taxis passed by which was a little inconvenient at times.

Staff and Guests

The staff were kind, but I called the front desk for extra towels but they forgot to deliver them to me. It happened several times which was a little frustrating.

There were mainly young couples or guests staying on a business trip. I did not seem many families staying at this hotel.

Access

It took about 40 minutes by taxi from the airport. The hotel is in an inconvenient place to come by train or bus. It takes about 11 minutes on foot from the train station. There is no denying that it is more convenient to stay around the hotel where there are more choices in public transportation.

Summary

I honestly did not have a good impression of this hotel. The staff were forgetful and the air conditioner in the small bedroom started leaking in the middle of the night. They did not deal with it as politely either. It was also a little dark in the room which was inconvenient at times. What I noticed during my stay in Bangkok was that because the traffic in Bangkok is bad and the taxi fare is cheaper, taking the train would save a lot of time, so I should have stayed near the station.
