IMG_0519(12) copy

There were many skyscrapers around the hotel. Bangkok has been developing rapidly in the recent years and I am excited to see how it would change. At night, the lights of the buildings were beautiful. I also enjoyed watching the cars passing by on the streets bellow.

Mini bar and cafe

There were many kinds of liqueur, such as whiskey and vodka, and also snacks such as Oreo, potato chips, gummy, and drinks such as coffee, tea and a bottle of water. I thought that the arrangement was fashionable and strategic. However, it was a little expensive.

Hotel Surroundings

Since the hotel is located in an office district, it was far from the busy city. The nearest station is Chong Nonsi Station which is about a 3 minute walk from the hotel. You can get to SIAM, the busiest area in Bangkok, with only a short train ride. There was a business building called Sathorn square adjacent to the hotel and a large number of business people gathered here. There was also a Seven-Eleven on the first floor of this building which was very convenient.

Access

It takes about 45 minutes by train from Suvarnabhumi Airport. From the airport take the Airport Rail Link to Phaya Thai Station where you can change to BTS and then Silom to Chang Nonsi station. It was about a 5 minute walk from there. Since Bangkok is is very crowded, it is best to ride the train instead of driving a car or taking a taxi.

IMG_0519 (20) copy

There is a 7-Eleven nearby, so I could buy last minute items here. I also went shopping in a downtown area called SIAM that is a short train ride away.
