I decided to stay at the "Red Planet Bangkok Asoke," because it is located in Sukhumvit area which is a safe area and is a reasonable hotel. This hotel is a 5 minute walk from Asoke Station, and there are many restaurants around Asoke station besides Terminal 21 department store, so it is a convenient place for shopping and dining.

Hotel exterior
There was a parking next to the entrance.
The entrance was clean and welcoming. The staff sending at the entrance was friendly. They will write down the taxi plate number in case you forget something in the taxi.

There were not many staff standing at the front desk, so I had to wait in line during crowded hours, but the check-in process went very smoothly.

What is the Standard Double Room like?
The door can be opened by holding the key card up to a sensor.
There was a bathroom at the entrance.
The room was not very big with no space to open up my suitcase. However, it was soundproofed very well and was very quiet in the room. There was no fridge, but you can buy drinks and snacks at the front desk.
The room had air conditioning.
The room was bright and stylish. It was also clean and very comfortable to spend time in.
A folding desk next to the bed.
The bed was very comfortable to sleep on.
The room was small, but the mirror above the bed made it feel bigger.
There was a TV across the bed.
There was also a mirror and hair dryer next to the TV.
The hotel was located off the busy main streets, so it was peaceful and quiet.

Bathroom
There was a sink, toilet and a shower room in the bathroom.
The shower room was clean and comfortable to use. However, there was only a wall covering half of the sower room, so the floor got wet.
The shower head was fixed on the wall and the water pressure was strong enough.

There was hand soap prepared next to the sink.
The sink was simple.
The only amenity prepared was the shower/conditioner.

Closet and safe
There was no closet in the room and only a hanging space in the corner.
There was a safe, but it was placed in plain sight.

Facilities in the Hotel
There was a small shop next to the front desk. The price was very reasonable and you can pay at the front desk.
They were selling drinks and snacks.
You can use use the computers at the lobby. Wifi was fast both in the lobby and in the rooms.
They have a laundry service, but I washed my clothes at a nearby shop that only cost 300 baht for 1kg.

Hotel Surroundings
It is very quiet around the hotel even thought it is only a 5 minute walk from Sukhumvit Road. However, it may be dangerous to walk around alone at night. There is always a taxi waiting in front of the hotel, but you can also call your own taxi by using an app.

Staff and Guests
The staff were very friendly and their English was easy to understand. There seemed to be many young tourists staying, but they were all well mannered and it was very quiet in the hotel.

Access
It cost about 400 baht by taxi to the airport, but it was crowded on Sukhumvit Road in the morning, evening and at night, so if you do not have heavy luggage, I recommend taking the train. It is only a 5 minute walk from the train station.

Summary
I had a nice stay at this hotel. It was a very clean and safe hotel for its reasonable price. The bed was also comfortable to sleep on and it was very quiet in the room. However, I prefer staying at a hotel with a fridge and amenities prepared in the room. It may be better to get a room upgrade at this hotel to get better service.
