I chose "RIHGA Royal Hotel Osaka," because I was looking for a place to stay at to go to a concert at Osaka Castle Hall, and this hotel was the cheapest. This hotel had a free pick-up service, which helped me to move round easily even during the hot summer. There are many shopping malls near Umeda Station and during summer season there is a beer garden that is open which is not too far from the hotel.

The tower wing is 30 stories tall, the west wing is 15 stories tall, and there is an annex building with parking and an indoor pool.
There is a rotary at the entrance, and free shuttle buses were coming and going. There is also a carriage porch, so it is convenient to get on and off in front of the entrance. There was also a taxi stop nearby.
The lobby had a carpet with flower patterns which was beautiful and fluffy. The cleaning staff were vacuuming and it looked very hard.
There were always three to four staff standing at the front desk and they are polite.

What is the Deluxe Twin Room like?
Guest room door.
My room got upgraded to a deluxe twin room. It was not a big room, but it was clean and I was able to spend a comfortable time. There was plenty of space to open up my luggage.
The bed mattress was soft and fluffy and very comfortable to sleep on. There were also two pillows.
There was a TV and a desk on the left.

There was a phone, a memo set, a hotel guide, a tissue, and a smartphone on the desk that could be used free of charge during your stay.
A sofa and a table.
There were two free bottles of water prepared on the table.
There were two windows in the room.
I could see Gran Cube Osaka.
The view of Osaka City was beautiful.

Bathroom
There was a shower integrated bathtub in the bathroom. I was able to relax in the bathtub.
The shower was a removable hand shower, and there was no problem with water pressure. However, the shower curtain was a little small, so I had to be careful not to splash water onto the floor.
A toilet with a Washlet function.
Sink.
There was face and hand soap and other amenities on the sink.
Amenities included a razor, soap, a face wash and lotion, a toothbrush, a shower cap, and a cotton swab. It was very useful because I forgot to bring my own face wash. However, there was no comb, so I had to use my own.
Hair dryer.
Towels prepared by the door.

Closet and safe
There was a big closet.
Inside were hangers, a trouser press, slippers, deodorant spray, brush, shoe horn and a safe. The safe was relatively big.

Mini bar and cafe
There was also a cafe corner in the storage space beside the closet. There was a pot, cups, glasses, ice bucket, powdered green tea and instant coffee.
There were sodas and beer prepared in the fridge, but they cost money.

Hotel surroundings
The hotel is in a business district. If you go a little further, you will find Nakanoshima Station. If you go to Umeda Station, there are many places to shop and eat. Around the hotel, there are hospitals, 7-Eleven, and a rice shop across the bridge. The day I stayed was Saturday, so it was crowded. There is a free shuttle bus running even at night, so it is easy to get to places. If you are planning on going to a live show or an event at Gran Cube Osaka, it is very convenient because it is connected to the hotel.

Staff and guests
The staff explained to me about the hotel in details and was very polite. If you ask questions, they will give you an answer right away.
There are many foreigners and tourists staying because there are many tourist attractions around the hotel. Especially there were many Chinese tourists and groups. There were also many elderly couples staying.

Access
There is a free shuttle bus running from Osaka Station, so it was easy to go places. The guide staff at the hotel was very helpful. The buses had enough seats that were comfortable to sit on.
Kaiyukan is a 20 minute drive away.

Summary
I had a very comfortable stay at this hotel. My room was spacious with plenty of space to open up my luggage. It was so comfortable that I stayed another day. Check-out was a bit late at 11am, so I didn’t have to rush to prepare for departure. Because it is connected to Grand Cube Osaka, it is very convenient when there are events and live shows, and there is a free shuttle bus running from Osaka station every 15 minutes until 10 o’clock, so it was convenient. From Osaka Station to Rihga Royal Hotel, even if you take a taxi, it is less than 1,000 yen. I highly recommend staying at this hotel.
