There was a staircase in front of the entrance, and it was a structure not seen often in ordinary hotels. In addition, there were luxurious chandeliers and fountains, and it was a European-style luxury hotel. The front desk was at the back.

What is the Superior Twin Room like?

IMG_0125(12) copy

There was a closet on the right and a bathroom on the left.

IMG_0125(13) copy

Next to the closet was a cafe corner and another door leading to the bedroom.

IMG_0125(29) copy

After checking-in, the staff guided me to the guest room and explained about the room. The room was spacious and was European style. It was cleaned very well.

IMG_0125(17) copy

The bed was not too hard and not too soft which was just right for me. I woke up feeling fresh the next morning.

IMG_0125(5) copy

On the bedside table was a phone, memo-pad and an alarm.

IMG_0125(18) copy

A TV diagonally across the bed.

IMG_0125(14) copy

Next to the TV was a desk with a large mirror above it. There were outlets and a USB port which was convenient.

A table and sofa by the window. There were two free bottles of water on the table.

IMG_0125(27) copy

The room seen form the window.

IMG_0125(21) copy

The window was very big.

IMG_0125(23) copy

Perhaps because the hotel is located near the downtown area, I can not say that the view was beautiful. However, depending on the location of the room, it is possible to see Higashiyama. If you care about the view, I think you should ask for a room facing the east

Hotel Surroundings

The location is great, as I was able to get to Kyoto’s main street within a 5-minute walk from the hotel. There was a convenience store nearby, and there were many local famous bakery shops. The main street was busy until night time, but the hotel was a bit off the alley, so the noise did not bother me. It is about 10 minutes by bus to tourist attractions such as Gion and Yasaka Shrine, so this hotel is suitable for sightseeing. There are izakayas that are open until late at night, so I think it’s perfect for those who like to drink alcohol.

Access

The nearest station is Shijo Subway Station. It is a 5-minute walk from the hotel. Because the downtown area of Kyoto is right by the hotel, I had no trouble finding restaurants, convenience stores and department stores. There are also many stylish izakayas nearby.

Summary

I had a nice stay at this hotel. From sightseeing to business, it is a hotel that supports various people, and the convenience was outstanding. The location was the best to say the least. Located in the Karasuma area of Kawaramachi, the center of Kyoto, it was within walking distance of Gion. The hotel was quiet, because it was located off the main road. In addition, subway and bus stop are nearby which is very convenient. This hotel had a high-quality water that is incomparable with other hotels. I thought it was a hotel that would please women.
