I chose “Courtyard by Marriott Shin-Osaka Station” because I was only stayed on a business trip, so there was no need for me to stay at a fancy hotel. I earned Marriot SPG points, and the price was less than 20,000 yen including breakfast, good location, price and points. Also, because I am already a senior member of SPG, I can get better service than other hotel affiliates.
The hotel is not particularly clean and does not stand out, but it was easy to find thanks to the Marriott logo. The entrance is on the first and third floor, but the third floor was the main entrance.
Entrance on the first floor.
The entrance is not big, but it was clean. It was also very casual. There were Sesame Street stuffed animals on the front desk and the bell desk.
The entrance on the third floor.
Lobby floor elevator hall.
Guest room floor elevator hall.
Guest room floor corridor.

The room is spacious, modern and has a calm atmosphere, while the sofa is red and stylish.
There are outlets here and there including next to the bed which was convenient.
The table was big and had plenty of space to eat.
The hardness of the mattress was just right. There were four pillows, but there was not much difference in the hardness. It was comfortable to sleep on.
There was only one armchair, so it may be a little inconvenient fo when two people stay in the room.
The view from the window. There were no terraces or balconies. The view is of the bullet train, conventional lines, arterial roads (may be an expressway), Shin-Osaka Station and so on. It wasn’t loud, but I could hear the sound of the bullet train passing by. The window could not be opened and it was also not very big. The hotel is located in a convenient place, but you cannot expect a nice view here.

Courtyard by Marriott Shin-Osaka Station
Hot water comes out immediately which was very nice. There was no problem with the water pressure either. The shower head was big and easy to use. The bathtub was also pretty big. There was a glass border in stead of a shower curtain which looked clean.
There were pajamas, disposable slippers, shoe polish, toothbrushes, bandaid, shaver, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, soap, hairbrush, cotton, sewing set and a shower cap. The brand was Nirvae. I did not use anything other than slippers.

In the closet, there were ten hangers, deodorant spray, iron, ironing board, laundry bag, shoehorn, and two pairs of disposable slippers.
The safe was a simple style.

There were two free bottles of water, two tea bags, two green tea tea bags, and instant coffee. Beer, Pepsi, Perrier, apple juice, green tea and mineral water in the fridge cost money.

There is a restaurant on the lobby level for breakfast and a teppanyaki and bar on the top floor. Teppanyaki and bar were adjacent to the club lounge, there was a reception and it was not a casual restaurant. There were many foreigners at bar.

Courtyard by Marriott Shin-Osaka Station
There was a gym in the hotel, but it was not very big.
A currency exchange machine.
Courtyard by Marriott Shin-Osaka Station
It is a few minutes walk from Shin-Osaka Station. There are restaurants and apparel shops in the station building, so there is no inconvenience for shopping. The limousine bus from Itami Airport stops at the roundabout opposite the exit of the Courtyard Shin-Osaka, so you need to walk for more than 5 minutes.
It is very convenient because the hotel is near Shin-Osaka Station. There was something like a station building right next to it, with stores such as McDonald’s and Tully’s Coffee. Access is great, but it is not suitable for people who want to spend a relaxing time. It was like an office street around the hotel when I walked a little.
Courtyard by Marriott Shin-Osaka Station
Half of the staff were Chinese, but I had no trouble communicating with them. They handled my bags well and they were never rude.
I saw many office workers. I did not see any Japanese families staying, and there were only Chinese families instead. The hotel is built in a convenient location, but it is mainly used for business.
Courtyard by Marriott Shin-Osaka Station
It is a very nice hotel to stay at on a business trip. I want to stay here again. The Marriott affiliate hotels that can be stayed at on a business trip are in Osaka’s Courtyard Shin-Osaka Station, Moxy, Sheraton Metropolitan areas, but I think this hotel is the newest and facilities are the best among them. The access to Itami Airport is about 30 minutes by bus, and the advantage of being able to get on the station right away was very attractive. However, I do not think that I will stay here on a vacation. There is nothing particularly bad about this hotel. It is a highly recommended hotel for businessmen and foreigners unfamiliar with Japan.
