I decided to stay at the “Courtyard by Marriott Osaka Honmachi,” because I found a reasonable plan that I could afford. This hotel just opened in October 2019, so it is a stylish business hotel.
What is the appearance of the hotel? Check the entrance and reception
The hotel had a very sophisticated atmosphere and was perfect for Honmachi, the business district of Osaka.

The entrance was very clean.
The lobby had a very high ceiling and was spacious. The lobby smelled of the original ATTUNE of the Marriott Hotel.

What is the Ambitious King Room like?

There was a bathroom on the right.
The room was a very simple design using wood. There was a king size bed, chair, table, sofa and a TV. For the time being, it is introduced as a business hotel in the Marriott group, but it is a room that can be satisfying even for traveling.
The king size bed was very big and can fit two adults and a child. I was able to sleep very comfortably.

The view from the 11th floor was not very good. I could only see the buildings nearby. However, you can see the cars on Hanshin Expressway from the upper floors. You can also enjoy a nice view of Osaka, the castle of Osaka, so if you want a view it is best to stay in a room on the upper floor.

Bathroom
There was a shower room with a stool. It was cleaned very well. There were two types of showers: regular showers and an overhead showers. Both had sufficient water pressure and easy temperature control. Shampoo, conditioner and body soap were prepared next to the shower.
The wall between the bedroom and the shower room was transparent, so you can close the blinds for privacy if necessary.
There was a toilet across the shower room.
Cups, soap, tissue, hand towels and an amenity box was prepared by the sink.
There was a toothbrush set, shower cap, comb, hair elastic and cotton swabs prepared on the amenity box.
There were bath towels, face towels, hair dryer and a curling iron under the sink.

Closet and safe
There was a tall closet next to the window.
There were about 10 hangers provided in the closet. In addition, there was an iron and ironing board inside.

Mini bar and cafe
There was a cafe corner above this cabinet with a capsule type coffee machine, electric kettle and a bottle of water.
There were also cups, glasses, coffee capsules and tea in a drawer. I was surprised to see Nespresso coffee and TWG tea prepared at a business hotel.
Normally, there are drinks prepared in the fridge, but due to Corona it was empty during my stay.

Restaurants in the hotel
There was an all-day dining called “STITCH” on the 2nd floor. There was also a bar and lounge “M18” on the second floor, but both were closed due to Corona.

Hotel Surroundings
Since the hotel is located in a business district, there were not many people on the streets during the holidays. The Hanshin Expressway runs right next to the hotel and the Honmachi Interchange is nearby so you can get to the hotel in 2 minutes by car after leaving the interchange. The hotel does not have a parking lot, but there are several coin parking lots nearby, so parking is not a problem. The hotel is located right in the middle of Osaka Station, Umeda, Namba and Shinsaibashi. However, it was very quiet in the room.

Staff and Guests
The staff was very polite and had great hospitality. The explanations during check-in and check-out was very easy to understand.
There were various customer groups, young and old, including families, old couples, young couples, and business people. There seemed to be many families and couples staying during the holidays. It is a new and clean hotel with a foreign capital, so it is suitable for customer base of all ages.

Access
It is a 1-minute walk from Sakaisuji Honmachi Station, the nearest station from the hotel. You can also walk from the other nearest station, “Honmachi Station” which is 6 minutes away. There were also restaurants, cafes, and convenience stores nearby which was very convenient.

Summary
I had a nice stay at this hotel. The first reason is for the good location. The hotel is within walking distance from the Osaka Metro Chuo Line and Sakaisuji Line “Sakaisuji Honmachi Station” and the Midosuji Line “Honmachi Station, “so you can quickly access the hotel. As it is located in Honmachi, which is a business district, it is perfect for business trips and you can come from Shin-Osaka without changing trains. Furthermore, since it is close to Umeda and Namba, this hotel is a base for sightseeing. The price is very reasonable, so it is also suitable for family trips and excursions. The second reason is because the hotel is stylish and beautiful. Although it is introduced as a business hotel, the rooms are very comfortable to spend time in.
