I will be recommending hotels around "Sapporo Station," "Odori Park," "Susukino" and "Nakajima Park" which are located in the northern part of Saporro City. Please use this as a reference to when selecting hotels for your trip to Sapporo!
JR Tower Hotel Nikko Sapporo
“JR Tower Hotel Nikko Sapporo” is a hotel located between the 22F and 36F of Sapporo Station JR Tower. The hotel is on the upper floor of the tallest building in Sapporo, so the view from the rooms are outstanding! There is also a natural hot spring on the 22nd floor, so you can enjoy the scenery while soaking in the hot water.
The hotel is a 38-story high-rise building in a very convenient location, connected to JR Sapporo Station.
The room was elegant and calm with 30 square meters of space. The bed was big enough for two people to sleep on comfortably.
The night view from the room was amazing!

Hotel Monterey Sapporo
A 5-minute walk from Sapporo Station, Hotel Monterey Sapporo is a luxurious Western European style building of the early 20th century.
The retro English-style building stood out very much.
The “Hollywood Twin Room” was retro and stylish and the furniture seemed a little old, but it was cleaned very well. As it was a Hollywood twin room, two 110 cm wide beds were put together.
There was an open atrium winter garden where you can see the sky above. Wedding ceremonies can be held here.

Century Royal Hotel

The room was about 22 square meters wide which was big enough for one person to stay in. The dark colors used here and there created a relaxing and stylish atmosphere.
You can choose between a buffet or Japanese set meal for breakfast. Breakfast at this hotel has been ranked in the Top 10 Delicious Hotel Rankings on TripAdvisor for the fifth consecutive year.

Keio Plaza Hotel Sapporo

The lobby was spacious with many sofas to sit on.
The room was only 18 square meters wide, but it was simple and functional. The bed mattress was Simmons and it was comfortable to sleep on.

ANA Crowne Plaza Sapporo
“ANA Crowne Plaza Hotel Sapporo” is a 26-story hotel located in the center of Sapporo. A 7-minute walk from Sapporo Station, the hotel is conveniently located near tourist attractions, such as the “Odori Park,” “Sapporo Clock Tower” and the “Old Hokkaido Government Red Brick Government Building.”

“Refresh Standard Twin Room” was 21 square meters wide, and it was spacious. The room was renovated in 2019, so it was very new and clean.
You can choose between a buffet or a Japanese set meal for breakfast, and the buffet was served at the “All Day Dining Mem.” The restaurant was divided into several sections and it was a spacious and stylish restaurant.

Mitsui Garden Hotel Sapporo West
“Mitsui Garden Hotel Sapporo West” is a hotel that just opened in February 2020. Located near JR Sapporo Station, this stylish and modern hotel incorporates Hokkaido tradition, culture and nature as motifs in the exterior and interior design of the building. On the second floor of the hotel, there is a restaurant called “Sankakudo” where you can enjoy dishes unique to Hokkaido.
The exterior was stylish, incorporating designs unique to Hokkaido, such as red bricks and gas lamps.
The room was about 26 square meters wide with a sink out in the open, making the space feel wider.
“Sankakudo,” a restaurant on the second floor, is a bright and open space where you can enjoy a Japanese and Western buffet breakfast using fresh Hokkaido ingredients. A chef will make you breakfast crepes at the live kitchen. You can choose the ingredients yourself.

Sapporo View Hotel Oodori Kouen
“Sapporo View Hotel Odori Park” faces Odori Park, a 5-minute walk from Nishi 11-chome Subway Station and a 5-minute drive from JR Sapporo Station. With easy access to Mt. Moiwa Ropeway, this hotel is very convenient for going sightseeing to nearby tourist attractions.
Odori Park is right in front of the hotel and I could see the hotel from the venue of Sapporo Villa Garden a well.
There were flowers decorated in the hotel and it felt as if I was walking into an upscale hotel. The lobby had a high ceiling with the illuminations hanging and a glass elevator. At the center of the lobby was a cafeteria.
The room was very spacious. There was a big bed and a sofa. The sofa was big enough to lie down and I could relax while watching TV. The bed was big and comfortable to sleep on.

Royton Sapporo
“Royton Sapporo” is located in the center of Sapporo, a 3-minute walk from Nishi 11-chome Subway Station, and within walking distance of Sapporo Station and Odori Station. Located near “Odori Park” and “Hokkaido University Botanical Garden,” this is a city hotel also surrounded by nature.
The hotel was tall, so I was able to find it very easily.
There was a big window brightening the room. The room felt a little old, but it was big and cleaned very well, so I was able to spend a comfortable time.
“Cafe Trianon” had large windows going up to the ceiling, so it was a very bright and open space. Breakfast was a buffet style serving Japanese and Western dishes. There were many dishes to pick from and they were all delicious.

La’gent Stay Sapporo Odori
“La’gent Stay Sapporo Odori” is located in the center of Sapporo, within a convenient 5-minute walk to Odori Station. Opened in 2016, this new and beautiful hotel features a large public bath using a natural hot spring, so you can have a comfortable and relaxing stay.
The hotel was a 14-story gray building that was a 5-minute walk from Odori Station and Susukino Station.
The room was new and clean. There was plenty space to open up my suitcases and I enjoyed the bright colors used here and there in the room.
There was a gallery in the hotel. There were antiques and photos on display.

Sapporo Grand Hotel
“Sapporo Grand Hotel” is located in the center of Sapporo. The hotel is connected to Sapporo Station and Odori Station with an underground passage which is convenient for going sightseeing and for business. It is a historic and traditional hotel that opened in 1934 as Sapporo’s first full-scale style hotel.
The hotel is built along the station square, consisting of three buildings: the main building, the east building, and the annex.
The room was 40 square meters in size and was very spacious. The interior was very simple. The bed was a king size bed which was very comfortable to sleep on.
At “Northern Terrace Diner” you can choose a buffet style breakfast or a Japanese set meal. There are about 90 kinds of dishes prepared for the buffet.

Hotel Okura Sapporo
“Hotel Okura Sapporo” is located in the center of Sapporo City, close to Odori Park. The hotel is near many tourist attractions, such as the Sapporo Clock Tower and the Former Hokkaido Government Office Building. This hotel is based on the concept of “neat and elegant” and you can enjoy a nice stay in a high-quality space.
The hotel is just a minute walk from the main subway station, underground passages and exits. The exterior is a 15-story building built with red bricks.
The room was 35 square meters wide. It used Scandinavian designs with soft natural colors making the room feel warm.
You can choose between breakfast served buffet style or as a Japanese set meal. This time, I chose the breakfast buffet at “Restaurant Continental.” There were not many dishes to pick from and the food was delicious.

Hotel Monterey Edelhof Sapporo

The room was 24 square meters wide which was spacious. The interior design was simple. The beds were made by the brand “Simmons” and it was soft and comfortable to sleep on.
There were no tall buildings around the hotel, so I was able to see far away. The view was very nice.

Hotel Clubby Sapporo
The “Hotel Krabi Sapporo” is part of the Sapporo Factory, a complex located on the site of the Sapporo Beer Factory, with its roots in the Pioneer Beer Brewery, which was born in 1876 as the first Japanese beer factory. This historic hotel is cozy and charming unlike a luxury hotel.
The hotel was about a 15 minute walk from JR Sapporo Station and a bit far from the downtown area. The hotel was a six-story building like a European clubhouse.
The lobby was a very classic and stylish space.
The “Superior Double Room” was spacious with approximately 29 square meters, and had a calm atmosphere with soft natural colors. The bed was big and comfortable to sleep on.

Mercure Hotel Sapporo
“Mercure Hotel Sapporo” is a stylish hotel in the heart of Sapporo’s business and sightseeing hub, Susukino and is only a 5-minute walk away from Susukino Subway Station.
It is a French hotel and the design was very simple.
The “Standard Twin Room” was 25 square meters wide which was not very big, but it had good soundproofing.
You can have french cuisine and dishes using ingredients from Hokkaido at “Bordeaux.”

Quintessa Hotel Sapporo
“Quintessa Hotel Sapporo” is a modern hotel located about 450 meters from Nakajima Koen Subway Station and within a 20-minute walk to Susukino Station.
The hotel was big and had an odd shape.
The lobby was spacious with many tables and chairs in the middle.
The room was smaller than I expected, but it was surprisingly comfortable. The room was soundproofed, so I was able to relax in the room without having to worry about the sounds of the neighbors and people in the hallway. I also enjoyed changing the color of the light behind the bed.

Premier Hotel Tsubaki Sapporo
“Premier Hotel TSUBAKI Sapporo” is a hotel located along the Toyohira River, which runs through the center of Sapporo, and is surrounded by nature. If you go straight along the road across the Toyohira Bridge in front of the hotel, you can get to “Downtown Susukino.”
The hotel was an 11-story building located on the banks of the Toyohira River.
The rooms was 40 square meters wide and was very big. The room had a calm atmosphere. The bed was a king size bed, so there will be plenty of space to sleep even with two people.
The lobby lounge on the 2nd floor had an elegant atmosphere. I had Hokkaido wine here as a welcome drink.

Sapporo Excel Hotel Tokyu
“Sapporo Excel Hotel Tokyu” is located in the center of Sapporo, a 3-minute walk from the nearest station, Nakajima Koen Subway Station, within walking distance to Susukino and convenient for visiting tourist destinations in Sapporo. Nakajima Park is right by the hotel, so you can enjoy nature even while in the city.
The hotel was located off the main street. It was a tall building, so I had no trouble finding it.
The room was spacious and very relaxing with a large sofa, an arm chair and a table beneath the bed.
I was able to see Mt. Moiwa and the city from my window. The view at night was beautiful.

“Vessel Hotel Campana Susukino” is a brand new hotel that just opened in June 2019. Japanese style is incorporated throughout the hotel, so you can relax in a modern and calm atmosphere. It is located at the western end of the Susukino area, so it is a bit far from the downtown area.
The hotel was a 13-story building just a 4-minute walk away from Susukino Station. It had just opened and it was a very beautiful hotel.
There were m any types of hotels, but the “Superior Room” has two 120cm beds in a 24.5 square meter room and was Japanese style.
Breakfast is served from 6:30am, so it is convenient for those who have an early start. There were many dishes using ingredients from Hokkaido.

The hotel was located on a busy street.
A bed with a refreshing design based on yellow-green color made the whole room brighter. Despite being in a downtown area, I was able to spend a quiet time without any noise coming in from the outside. In addition, there was plenty of space to open up my suitcase on the floor.
I had breakfast at the all day dining restaurant called “Verde.” There were colorful chairs creating a bright atmosphere. Breakfast was buffet style.

The rooms was only 25 square meters wide, but it had a warm and calm atmosphere.
There was a bar called “IGNIS” on the 10th floor which is the top floor of the hotel. The interior was antique style and was very stylish. Guests can enjoy wine from 17:00.
There is also a rooftop terrace with a bonfire in the center brighting up the area.

“Sapporo Park Hotel” is a city hotel located in one part of Nakajima Park, so it is surrounded by nature. It is a big hotel with a wedding venue and rooms for meetings and so on. The Imperial Family has stayed at this hotel before, so I have always had the desire to stay here.

The “Executive Floor Deluxe Double Room” was spacious with a refreshing and luxurious atmosphere.
The view form the room was very nice.

The hotel was next to Nakajima Park, surrounded by nature.
The room was spacious even with a bed, desk and sofa. The colors used in the room were soft creating a relaxing atmosphere.
Breakfast was Japanese and Western served buffet style. Many of the dishes used ingredients from Hokkaido.
