"Century Royal Hotel Sapporo" is adjacent to Sapporo Station and is connected with an underground passage. It is close to sightseeing spots such as the Former Hokkaido Government Office Building, Sapporo Clock Tower and Odori Park. I decided to stay here, because it is near the station and is also well known for their delicious breakfast.

The hotel is located along Kita 5-Jo Teine Dori, and is a 23-story building connected to Sapporo Station via an underground passage.

The room was about 22 square meters wide which was big enough for one person to stay in.

You can choose between a buffet or a Japanese set meal for breakfast. You can enjoy a Japanese/Western buffet using Hokkaido ingredients at “Yuyo Terrace Sapporo” on the second floor. Breakfast at this hotel has been ranked in the Top 10 Delicious Hotel Rankings on TripAdvisor for the fifth consecutive year.

Hotel Surroundings

The hotel is built in a convenient location and is connected to Sapporo Station. There is also a convenience store on the ground floor of the hotel, and there are many shops and restaurants nearby. Sightseeing spots such as the former Hokkaido Government Office Building, Hokkaido University Botanical Garden and Odori Park were also within walking distance.

Staff and Guests

The staff were very polite. As for the guests, there were both foreign tourists and Japanese tourists. Many of them were couples or a small group of people.

Access

The hotel is about 2 minutes away on foot from JR Sapporo Station and is connected with an underground passage. It was very convenient with excellent access to anywhere I wanted to go.

Summary

I had a nice stay at “Century Royal Hotel Sapporo.” It was very convenient that the hotel was connected to Sapporo Station, because I had a lot of luggage. The building itself was a little old, but the rooms were renovated and very clean and comfortable to stay in. It was also nice that the amenities were substantial. The staff were polite and breakfast was delicious, so I would like to stay here again if I have the opportunity to.
