"Sapporo Park Hotel" is a city hotel located in one part of Nakajima Park, so it is surrounded by nature. It is a big hotel with a wedding venue and rooms for meetings and so on. The Imperial Family has stayed at this hotel before, so I have always had the desire to stay here.

The hotel was located in one part of Nakajima Park. There was a hotel sign at the front.

There was a parking lot on the front side of the hotel and you will have to walk a little ways to the entrance.

There was another entrance on the side of the hotel. It was right in front of Exit 3 of Nakajima Koen Station.

There was a car porch at the entrance. The entrance has two doors on the left and right.

There was a door before the corridor that only guests with a key can enter.

What is the Executive Floor Deluxe Double Room like?

There was a full length mirror at the entrance.

There was a large sofa and a table.

At the back of the room was a bed.

The bed was a queen size bed that was very comfortable to sleep on. There were two types of pillows as well.

Next to the bed was a panel, outlet and an alarm clock.

On the other side of the bed was also a light switch, outlet and a phone.

My room did not have a view of the park, but I had a nice view of the city.

The bathtub, sink and toilet were all in the same room.

There was tissue, cotton and hand & face soap.

There was a toothbrush set, comb, hairbrush, shower cap, hair elastic, cotton, cotton swab, nail file, razor, lotion, hair gel, hair tonic set for men, cleansing, facial cleansing, cream, BB cream and so on prepared.

Two types of shampoo, conditioner, body soap, body lotion, and a bar of soap were also prepared. I used “Omnisance” and it felt and smelled very nice.

Bath towels, face towels and hand towels were prepared under the sink.

The bathtub was big enough with a shower.

The shower was a hand shower. It was easy to adjust the temperature and the water pressure was not very strong, but comfortable to wash my body.

Hangers, paper bags, umbrella, lamp, deodorant spray, clothes brush, shoehorn, shoe polish and slippers were provided.

There was a cafe corner next to the closet. There was sencha, blueberry tea, electric kettle, glasses, teacups, and a teapot.

Restaurants and shops in the hotel

You can have breakfast at the terrace restaurant “Piare” with a baffet style breakfast or “Nadamangaden” with a Japanese set meal. I had breakfast at “Nadamangaden.”

You can choose between tea porridge or white rice. The amount was just right and it was delicious.

Hotel Surroundings

The hotel is located in one part of Nakajima Park. It is also in the downtown area near Sukisukino. You can walk to Susukino and Odori where there are many convenience stores and shops.

Nakajima Park is big with various facilities in the park. You can enjoy cherry blossoms in spring and autumn leaves in autumn.

Staff and Guests

The staff were kind and courteous. They explained about the hotel policies politely. When I was taking a picture of Nakajima Park from the window in the lounge, one of the staff gave me a postcard which was very kind of her.

I saw many Japanese people having meetings and conferences at this hotel. I also saw a couple of foreigners staying.

Access

The hotel is right by “Nakajima Koen Station.” From Sapporo Station to Nakajima Koen Station it is 3 stations and 5 minutes away by subway and 10 minutes by car from JR Sapporo Station to the hotel.

Summary

I had a nice stay at “Sapporo Park Hotel.” The room was luxurious and was relaxing and comfortable stay in. The staff were also very warm and friendly. Above all, it was close to the station, but also surround by nature and quiet which was very nice. Nakajima Park was very big with beautiful autumn leaves, so I had a pleasant walk in the park. As it has been 55 years since the hotel was built, some parts of the hotel seemed old, but the service was amazing and I would love to stay here again.
