"JR Tower Hotel Nikko Sapporo" is a hotel located between the 22F and 36F of Sapporo Station JR Tower. The hotel is on the upper floor of the tallest building in Sapporo, so the view from the rooms are outstanding! There is also a natural hot spring on the 22nd floor, so you can enjoy the scenery while soaking in the hot water. The location is connected to Sapporo Station which is very convenient to get around to places.

The hotel was a 38-story high-rise building in a very convenient location, connected to JR Sapporo Station.

What is the Superior Double Bed Room like?

There was a bathroom on the right and a closet and cafe corner on the left.

The room was elegant and calm with 30 square meters of space. Everything I needed was prepared in the room, so I was able to spend a comfortable time.

The bed was big enough for two people to sleep on.

The mattress was on the softer side, but it was very comfortable to sleep on.

There were tables on both sides of the bed. There was a telephone, memo set, alarm clock and a light/air conditioner switch. In addition, there was an outlet which was convenient for charging my phone.

My room was on the 30th floor facing the North. I enjoyed the view of the city very much.

It was very clean.

The shower was a hand shower with a strong enough water pressure. It was easy to adjust the temperature as well.

Amenities were also provided. There was shampoo, conditioner, body soap, body lotion, toothbrush set, razor, hairbrush, comb, shower cap, hairband, hair clip, cotton swabs and cotton.

Closet and safe

There was a closet at the entrance. The closet door was a mirror which was convenient for when checking my outfit.

Restaurants and shops in the hotel

I had breakfast at the Sky Restaurant “Dancho” on the 35th floor. I ordered a Japanese set meal with grilled fish as the main dish. You can also pick a seafood bowl for your main dish.

There was also a restaurant & bar called “SKY J” on the 35th floor. I enjoyed drinks and snacks while enjoying the nice view of the city. They also serve a buffet style breakfast and lunch.

Facilities in the hotel

On the 22nd floor was a Sky Resort Spa called “Plaus Blanc,” which has a hot spring, vibra bath, Finnish sauna, water bath, body clean and so on. You can relax while overlooking the city of Sapporo.

The theme of the men’s spa is a “refreshing space to relieve your fatigue.” In addition to natural hot spring baths, whirlpools and saunas, there are many options such as relaxation courses.

Staff and Guests

The correspondence of the staff were good. I arrived earlier than 15:00 which is the check-in time, but I was able to use the spa while my room was being prepared.

Summary

I had a very nice stay at this hotel. It was raining on the day I arrived, but I was able to go shopping and eat around the station which was very convenient. This hotel is a little expensive compared to other hotels in Sapporo city, but I think it is reasonable considering the convenient location and the comfortable rooms. There are various room types to pick from and it is a hotel recommended for both business use and for sightseeing.
