"Keio Plaza Hotel Sapporo" is a city hotel located in the center of Sapporo City near JR Sapporo Station. Nearby are the former Government Office of Hokkaido Government and the Botanical Garden of Hokkaido University. Odori Park is also within walking distance. I decided to stay here because of its convenient location and good reviews.

The hotel is located along Kita 5-Jo Teine Dori and is a 5-minute walk from Sapporo Station.

The room was only 18 square meters wide, but it was simple and functional.

Amenities included toothpaste sets, razors, combs, shower caps, hair elastics, cotton, and cotton swabs. The shampoo, conditioner and body soap were a hotel original brand.

The shower was a hand shower and the water pressure was strong enough.

You can choose between a buffet style breakfast or a Japanese set meal. “Glass Seasons” prepares a Japanese and Western style buffet using Hokkaido ingredients.

The restaurant had a calm atmosphere with a nice view. Breakfast was delicious and satisfying.

Hotel Surroundings

The hotel is close to Sapporo Station and there are many convenience stores and restaurants nearby. Tourist attractions are nearby as well, so it was very convenient.

Staff and Guests

The staff were all very courteous. As for the guests, both foreign tourists and Japanese tourists seemed to be staying. I also saw people staying on a business trip.

Access

The hotel is located about 5 minutes away on foot from JR Sapporo Station, so there are many public transportations that you can take. There is also an airport bus running between New Chitose Airport and the hotel, making it easy to get to the airport as well.

Summary

“Keio Plaza Hotel Sapporo” was a convenient hotel to stay at, because it is located near Sapporo Station. The building itself was a little old, but the room I stayed in this time was renewed, so it was clean and functional. The staff were friendly and the atmosphere of the hotel was good. Above all, transportation was convenient and I would like to stay again.
