I decided to stay at the "Quintessa Hotel Sapporo," because I had stayed at the "Quintessa Hotel" in Osaka, and I enjoyed the breakfast very much. I was looking for a hotel that is near the station and that could fit 4 people in one room. It was also nice that the hotel had good access from the airport.

The hotel was big and had an odd shape.

What is the Superior Triple Room like?

The room was smaller than I expected, but it was surprisingly comfortable. The room was soundproof, so I was able to relax in the room without having to worry about the sounds of the neighbors and people in the hallway.

The Simmons bed was comfortable and I could sleep very well. The extra bed was made in France and was also comfortable to sleep on. I could also put the beds together easily.

I enjoyed changing the color of the light behind the bed. The color blue created a nice and relaxing atmosphere when going to sleep.

The window were narrow and small, so I did not expect a nice view. The room felt dark because it was facing north, but it the lights made the room brighter. The view from the 6th floor was not particularly impressive and I could only see apartments and buildings.

The bathroom had a bathtub with a washing area. I was able to wash and relax in the bathtub.

The water pressure of the shower was strong enough. However, there was no stool to sit on, so I had to wash while standing.

There was an open closet at the entrance. There was a shoe horn, clothes brush slippers and so on prepared inside.

There was a cafe set, pot and a refrigerator under the desk. There was only green tea and coffee.

Facilities in the hotel

There was a spa in the hotel, but you will need to make a reservation in order to get a massage. I was surprised that there were no shops in the hotel.

You can rent bicycles at the hotel. It may be more convenient to rent a bicycle if you are alone.

Hotel Surroundings and Access

This time, I took the central bus from New Chitose Airport to the end of Nakajima Park and arrived in about 5 minutes on foot. There is also the Nakajima Koen Subway Station, so I think transportation is very good. Car rental companies are also nearby. Lawson and Seicomart are right in front of the hotel, so was convenient for a little shopping.

Staff and Guests

There were always at least two staff standing at the front desk, so I was able to check in and out without having to wait. They also arrangement for taxis and bus to pick me up which was very nice of them.

There were many families and tourists staying. There are rooms that hold up to 5 people, so it is suitable guests staying as a group. On the other hand, there were not many people staying for business use.

Summary

This hotel has 80 types of breakfast, good transportation and was just renovated in February, so the rooms were clean. Although the room felt small, the air purifier, handy smartphone, and the LED lighting that changed color made my stay more comfortable. Although breakfast was crowded, the tables in the lobby were also available and I didn’t have to wait in line. There are two convenience stores right in front of the hotel which was very convenient. Access is good because it is within a 5-minute walk from Nakajima Koen Station.
