I decided to stay at the "Sapporo View Hotel Odori Koen," because the reviews were good and the price was reasonable. This hotel is a little far from "Sapporo Station" to get to on foot, so it is necessary to ride a bus, but there was a convenience store next door and breakfast was included in the plan. In addition, I had good access to sightseeing spots such as the "Moiwa Ropeway."

Odori Park is right in front of the hotel and I could see the hotel from the venue of Sapporo Villa Garden a well.

The entrance was big with taxis waiting.

There were flowers decorated in the hotel and it felt as if I was walking into an upscale hotel.

The lobby had a high ceiling with the illuminations hanging and a glass elevator. At the center of the lobby was a cafeteria.

What is the Excellency Floor Twin Bed Room

There was a toilet on the right and a bathroom on the left.

The room was very spacious. The moment I entered the room, I saw a big bed and a sofa, which made me happy. The sofa was big enough to lie down and I could relax while watching TV. However, there were light switches everywhere in the room and it was hard figuring out which light the switch was for. It took a while for me to settle down in the room.

It was a twin type room, but the bed itself was very big. In addition to the duvet and general pillows, there were also cushions so it was very easy to adjust the height of the pillows. The mattress was very comfortable to lay on, so I was able to sleep very well until morning.

Bathroom

The bathroom was spacious, with a marble wall creating a classy atmosphere. It was cleaned very well and I was able to spend time in the bath comfortably. There was also shampoo, conditioner and body soap provided.

The bathtub was spacious and I was able to relax in the hot water.

The shower was a removable hand shower with a big shower head. The water pressure was strong enough as well.

There was a makeup remover, face wash, lotion, milky lotion, men’s hair tonic, hair liquid, skin water and an after shave prepared next to the sink.

In addition, there was a toothbrush set, comb, razor, shower cap, and a ladies set containing cotton, cotton swabs and hair elastic.

Restaurants in the hotel

In one corner of the atrium lobby was a restaurant called “Audrey.” Breakfast is served buffet-style. Although it was 2500 per person which is not very cheap, you can enjoy Hokkaido gourmet. They also sell cakes here.

Facilities in the hotel

There was a coin laundry in the hotel. The washing machine costs 300 yen and the drier costs 100 yen for 30 minutes. There was also an ice machine, vending machine and a banquet hall.

Hotel Surroundings

There were many convenience stores around the hotel and it was convenient to go shopping. However, there were no drug stores, so when I hurt my shoulder, I needed to take a taxi to get to the nearest Don Quijote. No matter where you go, there is a circulating tram that can be used for 200 yen, so you can enjoy local gourmet tours, and you can also take this tram to get to the ropeway.

Staff and Guests

The staff were very kind when checking me in and out. I had trouble figuring out the Wi-Fi password in the room, and when asked they taught me carefully.

There were many people staying on business trips, Japanese tourists, and Chinese tourists. There were not many children staying, so it was very quiet in the hotel.

Access

You can ride a bus from Chitose Airport which was very convenient. It’s about 5 minutes by taxi from the station. You can also ride the bus from Sapporo Station without taking a taxi.

Summary

I had a very nice stay at this hotel. This time, I booked a twin type room online at the cheapest rate, but I was able to assign the highest grade room among them. I was very happy because the toilet and bathroom were separate. The rooms are large and you can eat local gourmet until your hear it content. If I have the chance to come to Sapporo again, I would love to stay at this hotel.
