The "Hotel Krabi Sapporo" is part of the Sapporo Factory, a complex located on the site of the Sapporo Beer Factory, with its roots in the Pioneer Beer Brewery, which was born in 1876 as the first Japanese beer factory. This historic hotel is cozy and charming unlike a luxury hotel.

The hotel was about a 15 minute walk from JR Sapporo Station and a bit far from the downtown area.

The hotel was a six-story building like a European clubhouse.

The room was spacious with approximately 29 square meters, and had a calm atmosphere with soft natural colors.

I could see the Sapporo Factory form the window. There were not many buildings around the hotel.

At night, Sapporo Factory brick hall and the atrium were lit up and it was beautiful.

For breakfast, you can choose between a Japanese and Western buffet or a Japanese breakfast set. You will need to make a reservation, so it was never not crowded.

I ordered the hearty “Rirakku Zen” set with grilled fish as my main dish. It was very delicious.

Hotel Surroundings

The hotel is located in the center of Sapporo, but a bit far from the downtown area. It is connected to the Sapporo Factory, which also has supermarkets, drugstores and restaurants inside which was very convenient.

Staff and Guests

The staff were courteous and I enjoyed the hospitality. Staff were always waiting near the entrance, and they were always there to help me.

Access

The nearest station was Bus Center Mae Station” which was about a 5-minute walk away. The hotel is also within walking distance from both “JR Sapporo Station” and “Odori Station,” so access was good.

Summary

I had a nice stay at “Hotel Krabi Sapporo.” Both the exterior and the interior were magnificent like a European clubhouse. The room was big and comfortable, so I was able to spend a relaxing time. The hotel was not right by the station, but it was only a short distance away from the downtown area and sightseeing spots. It is a cozy hotel that has received various awards and I would love to stay here again.
