I decided to stay at the “Adelphi Grande Sukhumvit by Compass Hospitality,” because it is an apartment hotel (with a washing machine etc.) and you can stay at a corporate rate. I have always stayed at hotels without a washing machine even when staying for more than a week which was inconvenient, but this hotel had a washing machine which was convenient.

The hotel was off the main street and it was dark at night.

What is the Superior Studio Room like?

The room was very big and clean. However, it was a little dark at night even with all of the lights turned on. During the day the room was bright, but it was hot when the curtains were kept open. It is cool when the air conditioner is on, but it it best to turn it off when going to sleep, because it gets too cold.

The queen size bed big with a hard mattress, but it was comfortable to sleep on. However, there were no outlets around the bed which was inconvenient.

There were many buildings nearby about the same hight as this hotel, so the view got blocked.

Bathroom

There was a bathroom with a bathtub. The sink and toilet were also in the same space. The bathroom was cleaned everyday.

I was able to relax in the big bathtub. There was a rain shower and a removable shower which was convenient.

There were also amenities on the sink. Shampoo, conditioner, body soap, razor, toothbrush, shower cap and cotton swabs were prepared.

Closet and safe

There was a closet at the entrance. The door was a mirror.

There was also storage space above the closet.

The closet was not big, but there was a bathrobe and safe prepare inside.

Mini bar and cafe

There was a kitchen with an IH stove and a sink. There was also an electric kettle and instant coffee. I was especially happy about the washing machine. It is a hotel friendly to people on business trips.

There was also a microwave and fridge. There were drinks prepared in the fridge, but I recommend buying drinks at the convenience store because it is cheaper.

Restaurants in the hotel

There was a restaurant called “Cafe Grande” on the 4th floor. Over 50 people can fit all at once. There were also tables outside and you can smoke there.

There were many dishes lined up. You can also have your eggs cooked on the spot.

Facilities in the hotel

There was a pool on the 4th floor. You can borrow towels by the pool, so you don’t have to worry about bringing your own. The pool is lit up until 9pm, but I did not see anyone swimming in the pool at night.

There were chairs and parasols by the pool. You can read and relax by the pool.

Hotel Surroundings

It is a few minutes walk from the hotel to the main street, but there is also a tuk-tuk service that will take you to the main street. It takes about 5-7 minutes to reach Phrom Phong Station, but the access is good and you won’t get lost. There are many duty-free shops and restaurants in EmQuartier, which is connected to Phrom Phong Station and you can spend the whole day there. You can also get to the weekend market from Phrom Phong Station without changing trains.

Staff and Guests

The staff were all very pleasant to interact with. I was very grateful for the the staff who cleaned my room thoroughly. As for the guests, there were a large number of people staying on business trips and also elderly people.

Access

It took about 40 minutes to 1 hour and 20 minutes by car from the airport. The traffic is bad in the evening and it will take longer. With a car dispatch service, you can pinpoint the location, and they will take you to the entrance of the hotel. The shopping mall called EmQuartier in Phrom Phong is convenient. There are expensive brands, but also has an area with restaurants. It takes less than 10 minutes on foot from the hotel to the mall.

Summary

I had a nice to stay at this hotel. I came on a business trip, but I didn’t have to worry about finding a place to do my laundry because there was a washing machine in the room. Breakfast was also delicious. Since the hotel and all rooms have WiFi you can use the internet without feeling any stress. It was a very nice hotel and I would love to stay here again.
