Hotel Surroundings

There were many cars on the streets, but it did not bother me too much. The hotel was within walking distance to shopping centers, supermarkets, McDonald’s, and sightseeing spots, and the sidewalk was easy to walk on. There are many pedestrians on the upper sidewalks connecting from the station, but there are few pedestrians on the lower streets. It felt safe even at night. The closest station to the BTS from the hotel is Chidlom which you can get to on foot. From the Holiday Inn, if you go down the slope and go to the left, you will find an elevator, but if you go toward the right side (Intercontinental side), you will find an escalator going up. However, it is necessary to climb the stairs about 3 steps before getting on the escalator, so for those who have trouble walking it may be best to the ride the elevator.

Staff and Guests

The staff were friendly, classy and easy to talk to. In particular, the female staff always responded with a smile and were very helpful.

IMG_0531 (4) copy

There were many Chinese and Western tourists. I did not see many people staying on business trips. I also did not see many people staying as a group.

Access

Access from the airport was very good. I transferred to the airport link and BTS from the airport and arrived at the hotel. It didn’t take an hour to travel, and even if I had a suitcase, I didn’t feel inconvenient because the elevator had both an airport link, a BTS transfer and a drop-off point. There is a supermarket called BIG C near the hotel, but it takes about 5-7 minutes on foot, and I think that it is the same at Isetan department store. In front of the hotel there is a department store called AMARIN PLAZA, with a McDonald’s, food court, massage shop and so on. If you need to, you can also take a BTS from there to get to Chidlom Station, which is a 2-3 minute walk away. The hotel was in a very convenient location.

Summary

I would love to stay at this hotel again. I have no complaints about my stay. It was a little far to walk to the north wing to the front desk, but the breakfast was delicious with a very relaxing atmosphere. The room was quiet and compact and I liked the atmosphere. The bed was single size, but it was very comfortable to sleep on. The train station is right by the hotel, and you can also walk to supermarkets and department stores. It was very easy to get to and from the airport as well.
