"Rizzan Sea Park Hotel Tancha Bay" is a very reasonable hotel. There are many activities that can be done in the hotel and the view is also very nice. The facilities seemed a little old, but it was not a problem for me at all.

The hotel is built on a beach.

The lobby was a little dark.
There was a large window with a view of the ocean.
There were many Asian tourists at the front desk and it was a little crowded.

What is the Deluxe City View Room like?
Guest room entrance door.
The room was very cool with the air conditioner on.
Light coming in from the window was very bright.
At night, without light coming in from the window it was a little dark. The room was very big and it was retro style.
The bed cover was old with dark green floral patterns. I was relieved to see white sheets underneath. The bed itself was comfortable to lay on. There was only one pillow that was very small prepared on the bed.
Phone and memo set on the bedside table.

There was a balcony outside the window.
There was a table and two chairs on the balcony.
There was a gap between the the walls dividing the balcony next door, so I could hear voices coming from next door.
The view of the ocean was amazing. Depending on the season, you can see the sunset from your room.
The emerald green water was beautiful.

Bathroom
The bathroom was a unit bath with a bathtub, toilet and sink all together. Although it was cleaned well, the facilities were old, so it did not seem perfectly clean.
The bathtub was big, but there was tape keeping it together. The shower curtain smelled when it got wet.
The water pressure for the shower was a little weak and the temperature was hard to adjust.
Shampoo, body soap, and conditioner were provided.
The toilet had a washlet function.
Sink
Minimal amenities such as toothbrush, comb, shave and shower cap were provided.

Closet and safe
The hangers prepared in the closet were old.
There were extra blankets and pillows prepared inside.
There was a sponge in the closet that I had no clue what it was for. There were also sandals prepared, but I was afraid to wear them.

Mini bar and cafe
There was a counter by the entrance that was a cafe corner.
A pot, cups, glasses, tea and coffee were provided. They seemed to be cleaned well.
There was also a fridge, but the sound was a little loud, so I had to turn it off.
There were two free bottles of water prepared inside.

Restaurants in the hotel
There were two restaurants serving breakfast. I had breakfast at”Tancha Bay.”
It was a big restaurant that was crowded with families and large groups.
There were seats outside, so many were eating there.
There were mainly Western dishes.
Bread was being made on the spot.

There was an outdoor pool, but most people were swimming in the ocean instead of the pool.
There was also an indoor pool and many kids were swimming.
There was a public bath, but you will have to pay an extra fee to enter.
There was also a relaxation & massage “Tsukimo”
They have the biggest banquet hall in Okinawa.
There was a chapel where weddings can be held.
There was a service station with a vending machine, ice machine and a microwave.
There was also a washing machine and a drier.
A game center.

There was a beach right by the hotel. You can take walks on the sandy beach.
There were may activities prepared.
There were slides, banana boats, paddle boats and so on, so you will never get board.

Hotel Surroundings
There is a FamilyMart in front of the hotel which is very convenient. There are several restaurants nearby, such as bars and izakayas. However, most restaurants are only open from the evening. The Sheraton is within walking distance and you can eat at one of the restaurants at the hotel. Moon Beach is also nearby.

Staff and Guests
There were many staff standing at the front desk because it is a hotel with many rooms and guests staying. However, the staff who checked me in was a little unfriendly and did not smile at all.
There were many groups of from Asia tourists and school excursion students and families. Some of the group guests were lying on the sofa in the lobby and sleeping, so I was a little surprised.

Access
It is a 60 minute drive to the hotel from Naha Airport. There is no parking on the hotel side, so if you drop your luggage at the hotel entrance, you will park in the toll parking lot (500 yen per night) on the other side of the road. Depending on the time of day there were large buses parked at the entrance and it was crowded.

Summary
This time, I decided to stay at this hotel because it was very reasonable. The hotel was old, but I had a lot of fun outside of the hotel. The staff who checked me in was unfriendly, but the staff working at the activity area was very friendly. Depending on the time, elevators, lobby, and the front desk are crowded, so it is best to avoid the busy time. There are many large groups of people staying at this hotel, so if you want peace and quiet I recommend staying at a different hotel.
