Detailed review & photos “ANA InterContinental Manza Beach Resort”

The building was a little old, because it is a 36-year-old hotel. All of the rooms have a veranda.

At the time of check-in, the staff at the front desk explained to me about the room, the hotel environment, and the benefits in detail. Because there are many foreigners, there are English-speaking staff, so even foreigners can enjoy the hotel without any problems. There is also a general information center in the lobby where you can book activities.

The room was beautiful except for the white carpet that was a little dirty. It is about 32㎡ wide and is a simple room. The accent color blue on the bed sheets create a resort feel.

The bed was comfortable to sleep on. The blankets were light but kept me warm, so I didn’t feel cold even in during winter season.

There was a desk under the TV where I could put souvenirs I bought during my trip, my laptop, and cosmetics.

This time I stayed in a room on the beach side, so I could not see Manzamo, but I checked in just during sunset and I could see the moment when the big round sun sunk into the sea.

It was a pity that there were no chairs or tables on the terrace, but I was satisfied with just the scenery. The beach is transparent and there are boats on the sea, so you can enjoy the resort atmosphere.

I was able to enjoy the sunset from a room with a clear view of the sky, look down on the blue swimming pool of the hotel after sunset, and enjoyed the scenery unique to Okinawa from morning to night.

The bathtub and toilet were together in one room. It was cleaned very well.

I was able to enjoy the bath while looking at the ocean.

The bathtub had a height-adjustable and removable hand shower, and the water pressure was just right.

Shampoo, conditioner and shower gel were prepared next to the bathtub. As with other Intercontinental hotels, the amenities were the American fragrance brand “Agraria.” I like the refreshing smell of this brand.

The sink was outside the bathroom.

Amenities included disposable toothbrushes, razors, hair brushes, shower caps, cotton sets, hair clips, cotton swabs, and a bar of soap.

The closet was on the left side of the bedroom.

The closet had a safe, disposable slippers, and a futon. It is enough size to stay with two people, but it was a pity that there was no baggage rack.

The safe was old and small.

At the cafe corner, there were free TWG tea bags and instant coffee, bu there was no coffee maker. I like TWG tea, but I thought it would have been better if there was something more unique to Okinawa

The paid mini bar had Pringles, M & M’s, blue diamond roasted almonds, VODKA and wine.

There were also drinks in the refrigerator.

“Aqua Bell All Day Dining” is a buffet restaurant also serving à la carte menu.

“Bar Wavy” offers a variety of cocktails in a chic and relaxing atmosphere.

The Ocean Cafe is located in a 35m high open-air space with a view of the garden pool.

There was a convenience store on the first floor of the hotel. It seems to be open from 7:30am to 12:00 pm.

In addition to souvenirs and snacks such as Okinawa-limited goods, convenience stores also have daily products, so you can shop at the hotel without going out.

There was a select shop on the lobby floor, and there were products unique to Okinawa such as Ryukyu glass and Awamori.

The select shop seems to be open from 8am to 10pm.

In addition, there are handmade workshops and a beach shop for a limited time. At the handmade workshop shop you can experience making original Shisa coloring and children can enjoy it as well.

The hotel has a garden pool and is open from 9 am to 5 pm in January when I stayed (business hours vary depending on the season). However, because the wind was strong and the temperature was low, few guests were swimming in it. Also, there seems to be a beachside pool, but it was not open in January.

There is a beach overlooking the “Manzamo” on the opposite shore, so you can enjoy various marine activities.

There was a 24-hour gym on the 3rd floor of the hotel.

There were also a spa on the first floor of the hotel.

In addition, there were kids play land, public bath/sauna and a banquet hall/ conference facility. There was a coin laundry near the pool, and there were three washing machines and three dryers. There was a business center, but was available only to guest staying in club rooms.

There were many families with children, couples, and foreigners (Korea, China, Taiwan). There were many small children below elementary school age. Even if it is a resort hotel like this hotel in winter, you can have a handmade experience without going to the sea.
