Detailed review & photos “Shibuya Stream Excel Hotel Tokyuz”

The 4th floor of “Shibuya Stream” is the lobby, and the 9th to 13th floors are the guest rooms.

The hotel is located on the 4th and 9th to 13th floors of this “Shibuya Stream.” Shibuya Stream opened in September 2018, so the hotel was new and beautiful.

There were about 30 shops and restaurants on the 1st to 3rd floors of Shibuya Stream, and there was an elevator on the 2nd floor where you can go to the 4th floor where the hotel reception is located.

There were sofas to sit on right after getting off of the elevator.

Various types of chairs and tables were prepared, and the ceiling other than this space had exposed piping, making it a modern vintage-style lobby.

There were shelves with books, cassette decks and record players.

There were three check in counters.

There were two automatic check-in machines and a foreign currency exchange machine in front of the check in counter.

There was a bar and dining “TORRENT” on the 4th floor. In front of this restaurant was a very large and brightly colored painting which was very impressive.

There was a toilet, sink and bathroom on the right, and a full length mirror and a closet on the left.

The room was modern vintage with a very relaxed atmosphere.

The standard double room is 24.8 square meters wide which is no very big, but it was comfortable with a big bed to sleep on.

There was plenty of space for two people to sleep on.

Four pillows were prepared on the bed.

Pajamas were also prepared on the bed.

Telephone, alarm clock, outlet and a USB port on the headboard.

I could see the cityscape around Shibuya Station from the window. My room was facing northeast, so I could see the Tokyo Tower in the distance.

The Tokyo Tower lit up at night was beautiful.

There was a bathroom on the right side of the room. The bathroom, toilet and sink were all separate.

There was a washing space next to the bathtub. I was able to stretch my legs and relax in the bathtub.

The shower was a height-adjustable and removable hand shower, and I had no problem with the water pressure and temperature.

Shampoo, conditioner and body soap were provided next to the shower.

Toothbrush set, razor, hairbrush, body towel, shower cap, cotton and so on.

There were even basic cosmetics such as cleansing gel, washing essence, lotion and cream.

Bath towels, face towels and hand towels.

There was an open-style closet on the left side of the room facing the washbasin. It had a light, so it is easy to see the inside even at night. There was a shoehorn, clothes brush and a deodorant spray prepared inside.

Slippers were also provided next to the closet. Perhaps it matches the color of the room, it is a solid brown one, and I felt that I was particular about even one amenity.

There was a safe in a drawer.

Below were cups, glasses, spoons, ice bucket, coffee and tea bags.

There was a fridge, but nothing was prepared inside.

There is a bar and dining called “TORRENT” where we had breakfast. They serve breakfast, lunch, dinner at the and restaurant, and drinks at the bar.

Originally, breakfast is served buffet style, but it was served as a set during my stay. Bread, fresh salad, cold appetizer, cup soup, ham, bacon, sausage, hot vegetables, yogurt, fresh fruit, etc. were included in the set.

You can choose one of the four main dishes: egg benedict, french toast, omelet, and fried egg, and I chose fried egg.

“TORQUE SPICE & HERB, TABLE & COURT” which serves breakfast, lunch, cafe and dinner.

Based on the concept of “cyclist friendly” it can be used as a space where workers who commute by bicycle can interact with each other through their hobbies and interests, and it also has an activity court so that they can play various sports.

There was a food meister room on the 13th floor, which was equipped with a microwave oven, steam toaster, electric kettle, rice cooker, etc.

It seems that these electric appliances are unified by “BALMUDA” which has a good reputation for high performance and design.

There was a Style Care Meister Room on the 11th floor. In addition to equipment for clothing care such as laundry and ironing, it was also equipped with a home cleaning machine “LG Styler” that uses the power of steam to disinfect, deodorize, and remove wrinkles.

There was a drink meister room on the 12th floor, where vending machines and ice machines were installed. A bench made like a Coca-Cola can was installed, making it a playful space.

There are about 30 shops and restaurants on the 1st to 3rd floors of “Shibuya Stream” where the hotel is located, so it is very convenient for shopping, eating and drinking.
