What is the appearance of the hotel? Check the entrance and reception

IMG_1009 (5) copy

Since the hotel is located at the end of the lawn area on the top floor of MIYASHITA PARK, many people come to enjoy the park and Starbucks. There were especially many young people in the area.

IMG_1009 copy

The entrance may be hard to find for some people.

IMG_1009 (1) copy copy

The lobby was at the back and was hard to find.

IMG_1009 (3) copy

The lobby was small, but surrounded by large windows and decorated with foliage plants on the counter.

IMG_1009 (6) copy

A tablet like this was installed at the front desk, and check-in was done here. It was the latest model, which is not very popular with the elderly people, but there were several staff ready to help.

You can use your tablet to complete self-check-in and create your own card key.

What is the Double Room like?

Guest room entrance door.

IMG_1009(8)

There was a hanging space and a full length mirror on the right, and a bathroom and sink on the left.

IMG_1009 copy

The room was smaller than I expected, but very functional. There was a bed by the window, and I was able to enjoy a beautiful view of the City.

IMG_1009(20)

The floor was slightly elevated where the bed was located. The mattress was comfortable to sleep on.

IMG_1009(15)

A round table by the bed.

IMG_1009(12)

A desk at the foot of the bed.

IMG_1009(5)

There was a very small TV and a tablet on the desk. This tablet was excellent because it could be used as a speaker, making a phone call to the front desk, connecting an alarm or Bluetooth and even checking out.

IMG_1009(14)

I could see the cityscape of Shibuya from the large window. The price was the cheapest and it was a small room, but the view was very nice.

Bathroom

IMG_1009(3)

There was only a shower in the bathroom.

IMG_1009(4)

The shower booth was small, but very clean. There are two types of showers, the latest rain shower and the height-adjustable / removable hand shower, and I was able to take a shower comfortably without any problems with water pressure and temperature control.

IMG_1009(7)

Shampoo, conditioner and body soap were provided next to the shower.

IMG_1009(19)

The toilet was next to the shower booth, but divided by a certain.

IMG_1009(17)

The sink was on the left side of the room and was separate from the bathroom. There was a hand soap on the sink.

Two bottles of water and a tooth brush.

Closet and safe

IMG_1009(2)

The room did not have a closet, but there was a hook with some hangers. I recommend that you come with a small amount of luggage, as there will be no space left for your luggage.

Restaurants in the hotel

There was a cafe called the “VALLEY PARK STAND” on the 4th floor. It can be used as a “cafe” where you can enjoy coffee and pastries and pita sandwich in the morning and noon, and as a parkside “bar” where you can serve long cocktails that are particular about craft spirits at night. Many people were working on their computers, and it was almost full around 17:00.

There was a restaurant called “Dōng xī Restaurant & Sakaba” on the 5th floor. You can have breakfast, lunch and dinner, and drinks at the bar.

In addition, a rooftop bar and restaurant will open on the 18th floor, which is the top floor, with a magnificent panoramic view of the city of Shibuya.

Hotel Surroundings

Since the hotel is located in the middle of Shibuya, so it was a very developed city. Most of MIYASHITA PARK has souvenir shops, brand shops, and restaurants for tourists (foreigners). It may not be a good shop for window shopping. However, there are other scramble squares, PARCO, 109, etc., so I think it’s enough. There were many recommended shops such as Hikarie and Shibuya Stream to buy deli. MIYASHITA PARK is also convenient because it is open until late at night.

Staff and Guests

The staff were very pleasant. I got help for checking in, and I was comfortable with the polite response.

IMG_1009 (10) copy

There were mostly men staying at the hotel. Many were staying alone, perhaps on a business trip.

Access

It is within a 5-minute walk from stations such as JR and subway. It’s easy to get inside the MIYASHITA PARK, but it may take some time for many people to get lost and get to the hotel. There is a hotel at the back of MIYASHITA PARK, and you have to go up to the rooftop, so many people may feel that it is quite far away.

Summary

I had a nice stay at this hotel. However, I think it would have been better if the rooms were a little bigger. It may be too small to stay with two people. There was no chair in the room and the TV was very small, so I wish I could make effective use of the space in a small room. Also, some people may feel resistance because the toilet and shower room are only separated by a shower curtain. However, if it is a slightly larger room, it seems that it is a bathroom with a bathtub or it is separated by a glass door, so it may be better to choose such a room. Although there were such negative points, it was nice to be able to refresh myself by staying in a beautiful room for less than 10,000 yen. I got a common coupon and used it for dinner, so it was a great deal. In addition, the check-out time was 14:00, so it was great to be able to relax in the room until the last minute.
