I chose "Kariyushi Beach Resort Hotel" because it was a reasonable resort hotel that is friendly to children. The beaches in the Northern part of Okinawa are beautiful, so I was excited to see it. There were places for children to play and places to enjoy the illuminations which sounded very nice.

The hotel stands on a hill and the it was very big.
The entrance was big with a bellboy standing by the door.

The lobby ceiling went up to the 5th floor, creating a very open space. There were several shops and restaurants in the lobby.
There was a kids play space in the lobby as well.

What is the Ocean View Room like?
Guest room entrance door
There was an open closet and a cafe corner on the left and a bathroom on the right.
The room was very big with four beds prepared. I was surprised to see how big the room was.
The beds were semi-double and I was able to sleep comfortably. Nightwear was prepared on the bed.

There were drawers under the TV.
The sofa was comfortable to sit on.
There was a large mirror above the dresser.

There was a veranda. There were no chairs or tables on the veranda in our room, but some rooms have them.
The view of the ocean was amazing. I could also see the hotel pool and the newly built Halekulani Hotel.

Bathroom
Compared to the new bedroom, the bathroom felt a little old.
It was nice that the bathroom was not a unit bath, but the color of the bathtub did not make me want to get inside.
There was a washing area next to the bathtub with shampoo, conditioner, and body soap prepared.
There was a height adjustable and removable hand shower and the water pressure was normal. It was a little disappointing that the bathroom was left untouched even though the other parts of the room were renovated.

There were two sinks and was spacious.
Amenities were prepared on the sink. There was only a toothpaste set, razor, cotton swab, hairbrush and a hair elastic.

Closet and safe
There was an open closet with hangers, clothes brush and a shoe horn prepared inside. There was plenty of space to store my belongings.

Mini bar and cafe
There was a counter next to the closet that was a cafe corner. There was an electric kettle, cups and glasses in the cafe corner. Unfortunately, when I asked for extra cups the staff told me that they did not have any to lend me. I was a little disappointed.

Restaurants and shops in the hotel
There are four restaurants in the hotel. This time I had breakfast at THE DINING “Nan Ryuman.”
There are two restaurants in the hotel serving breakfast in case it gets crowded.

French toast is popular at this restaurant.
There was also a bar lounge called”Taira” on the 1st floor of the Wing Tower.
There are several shops in the hotel, and the largest shop is a souvenir shop, convenience store and has a karaoke room at the back.

Facilities in the hotel
I stayed at the hotel during December, so the outdoor pool was not open.
However, I could enjoy the atmosphere of the resort hotel by looking at the hotel.
There was an indoor pool, but it cost money and was not suitable for children to swim in, I did not get in this time.

Hotel Surroundings
Although it is an area where hotels lined up, it is not a city where tourists are walking around. I saw a sign saying “Hotel pick-up free” at Okinawan food shops. It was more of an are to enjoy the view of the ocean. There are many sightseeing spots such as Churaumi Aquarium, Pineapple Park and Kouri Island in the north, so I think it would be better to stay at a resort hotel around here and go out by car in the daytime.

Staff and Guests
The staff were generally nice. The bellboy was kind to help me out with my luggage. Also, there were some foreign staff standing at the front desk.
We saw couples, families, students on a school trip staying The age varied. It is a hotel suitable for anyone, but there were more Japanese people staying.

Access
Access is not very convenient because it is in northern Okinawa. It is about 70 minutes from Naha Airport on the highway, and about 120 minutes by airport limousine bus or Okinawa Airport Shuttle. If you don’t have a car it is a little inconvenient to move around.

Summary
Overall, I had a very nice stay at this hotel! This time, it was an affordable plan with breakfast including and less than 5,000 yen per adult and free of charge for children. I was able to enjoy a resort stay in a spacious room with an ocean view. The children were delighted because the hotel and the garden were big. I was able to make great memories at this hotel!
