GINZA HOTEL by GRANBELL – Review & Photos

The hotel is situated within the “GRANBELL SQUARE” complex, located in the heart of the Ginza 7th Corridor. The hotel occupies floors 5 to 9 of a stylish, imposing 10-story building with 3 basement levels, blending seamlessly with the Ginza cityscape.

The 5th floor lobby is an open space where sunlight streams in through large windows during the day. It is furnished with comfortable sofas and stools, making it ideal for use as a lounge.

Enjoy free drinks. Alcoholic beverages are also available in the refrigerator (charges apply). A microwave is provided for heating up takeout food.

Terrace seats are available as well.

The elevators are equipped with security features and will stop at your guest room floor when you hold your card key over the sensor.

A large Ginza-themed painting is displayed on the wall of the elevator lobby, while the guest room corridors are decorated in dark tones, creating a calm and stylish atmosphere.

The bathroom is located on the right as you enter the room.

The rooms are designed with a modern and sophisticated aesthetic, blending classical elements seamlessly. Dark furniture and gold fittings contribute to an elegant and tranquil ambiance. The spacious window at the rear of the room enhances the sense of openness.

This room is for one person and although it is not large at approximately 17 to 19 square meters, the walls are made of bronze mirror and the ceiling is high, giving it an open and spacious feel, making it more than spacious enough for one person.

The bed is a generously sized double, featuring a Dream Master mattress that offers the perfect balance of firmness, providing excellent support for the body. This ensures a comfortable sleeping experience and allows for complete relaxation.

There are nightstands on both sides of the headboard, each equipped with power outlets, USB ports, and light switches.

One-piece relaxation wear and slippers are provided for guests to wear when using the spa and sauna facilities.

In addition to regular TV programs, the TV also supports video streaming services such as YouTube and Netflix, as well as casting functions, enabling you to enjoy your favorite content on the TV screen. Hotel information is also accessible through the TV.

There is a spacious desk by the window, equipped with an electrical outlet and a USB port. Its ample size provides a comfortable space to work or engage in other tasks while enjoying the outside view, creating a sense of openness.

The view from the window overlooks the bustling cityscape of the corridor street, with buildings lining the surroundings. Additionally, I could observe the trains passing by.

The bathroom features a shower booth without a bathtub, with the sink and toilet located in the same space. The gold-colored fittings for the shower and sink are manufactured by Hansgrohe, a renowned maker of elegantly designed faucets. These fixtures contrast beautifully with the white tiles, adding to the overall stylish ambiance of the space.

There are two types of showers available: a rain shower and a hand shower. Although the water pressure is not particularly strong, I found it comfortable to use without any issues. The hand shower offers two water flow settings.

The shampoo, conditioner, and body soap are all locally sourced from Japan and come in original bottles. Their delightful herbal scent was both invigorating and refreshing.

Body wash towels are also provided.

Face and hand soap, toothbrushes, razors, hairbrushes, and DHC amenity skin care sets are provided.

The hairdryer, provided in a bag, is made by Panasonic.

There is a wall hanging space equipped with a clothing freshener, shoe horn, and shoe polisher.

The safety deposit box features a simple and stylish design and is accessed using a combination lock.

Inside the fridge

In the morning, guests can enjoy a light breakfast in the lobby lounge on the 5th floor. Alongside beverages such as coffee and tea, there are 5 to 6 types of specialty bread available. Additionally, a rooftop restaurant on the 10th floor is planned to open in the future, where breakfast will also be served upon its opening.

Adjacent to the rows of bread, there is a Mitsubishi Electric bread oven, renowned for its ‘ultimate single-slice baking’ feature, which has garnered much attention. This high-end appliance is designed to guarantee the deliciousness of freshly baked bread, offering guests the opportunity to experience its exceptional quality firsthand!

I selected my favorite bread and enjoyed it on the terrace. The weather was pleasant, and the atmosphere was invigorating, allowing me to relish my breakfast in a revitalizing ambiance. It appears that you can also take the breakfast back to your room and enjoy it there.

There are vending machines and ice machines on the 5th floor.

There is a spa and sauna facility called ‘SPA & SAUNA Corridor no Yu’ on the 4th floor. While it is a paid facility, hotel guests can avail themselves of it at a discounted rate. Operating hours are from 11:00 AM to 9:00 AM the following morning.

The facility is equipped with an indoor bath, auto-louver sauna, steam sauna (for women only), cold bath, and open-air bath. Additionally, the rest area is fully equipped with a library lounge, recliner space, working area, and a counter serving drinks and snacks.

Designed by Kentaro Imai, the renowned pioneer of designer public baths, the spa embodies an extraordinary space with a monotone color scheme and effective lighting. The ambiance is further enhanced by relaxing music, reminiscent of that found in a bar, creating an atmosphere conducive to relaxation of both body and mind.

A dry sauna room maintained at approximately 90 ℃. Equipped with an auto-loyly function, guests can enjoy an aroma loyly sauna experience once every 20 minutes.

There is also an outdoor bathing space equipped with reclining chairs, providing the perfect place to relax and rejuvenate after enjoying the sauna.

The spacious changing room is equipped with skin care sets and the popular ReFa beauty hair dryer.

The library lounge features a collection of photo books showcasing beautiful scenery, art books, spa-related literature, and more.

Drinks and snacks are available at the counter, allowing guests to enjoy sauna meals as well.

The hotel guests were diverse, including Westerners, solo travelers, couples, and groups of varying sizes. With its stylish atmosphere and a variety of room types, it caters to a broad spectrum of guests.
