"Hotel Okura Sapporo" is located in the center of Sapporo City, close to Odori Park. The hotel is near many tourist attractions, such as the Sapporo Clock Tower and the Former Hokkaido Government Office Building. This hotel is based on the concept of “neat and elegant” and you can enjoy a nice stay in a high-quality space.

The hotel is just a minute walk from the main subway station, underground passages and exits. The exterior is a 15-story building built with red bricks.

There was a building in front of the hotel, so the view was not particularly nice, but I was able to to see part of the city on the right.

The bathtub, toilet and sink were all in one room, but it was still very spacious.

The shower was a removable hand shower. The water pressure was strong enough.

The closet was next to the bedroom.

The closet had width and height, and there was enough storage capacity. Hangers, deodorant spray, umbrella, clothes brush, shoehorn, shoe shine paper were prepared inside.

Hotel Surroundings

The hotel is located in the middle of the city, with many shops nearby, such as convenience stores, drug stores and restaurants. Adjacent to Odori Park and only a few minutes walk to downtown Susukino, it is a hotel located in a very convenient area.

Staff and Guests

The staff were polite and pleasant to talk to. There was always at least one staff standing at lobby ready to help the guests. There were tourists from overseas as well as Japanese tourists, and it seemed to be about half-and-half.

Access

It is about 15 minutes on foot from JR Sapporo Station and about 7 minutes by taxi to the hotel. From Odori Subway Station, it was about a minute walk from Exit 3. There seems to be an airport bus that will take you right near New Chitose Airport. Because it is a hotel in the city, it is convenient for going anywhere.

Summary

I had a nice stay at “Hotel Okura Sapporo.” The hotel was a little old, but the atmosphere was good, and the staff were very caring. Breakfast was delicious and the big and cozy room was nice to stay in. The only thing I was bothered with was the old bathtub that did not look very clean. But other than that, the location was convenient and I had a very satisfying stay.
