I decided to stay at "SpringHill Suites by Marriott Grand Junction Downtown/Historic Main Street," because it is in downtown and breakfast was included in the plan for free. This time, I stayed to watch the junior college baseball in this area. I also though that it would be convenient to get to restaurants and shops in the downtown area.

The hotel was a pastel colored building. It looked very nice facing the streets of downtown.
There was a parking lot.
There was a drive through area in front of the entrance.
The front desk was round.

What is the One Bedroom Suite like?
Guest room entrance door.
The room its self was not very wide, but because it was a corner room, there were two windows.
There was a sofa and a table at the front, and a bed in the back.
There was a closet at the back of the bed. The curtains were thick, blocking the sunlight complexity.
My husband said that it was the most comfortable bed he has ever slept on. It was kept clean and the mattress was just the right hardness.
There was a TV opposite the bed. There were small drawers under the TV.
There was a desk across from the bed.
There was a glass door dividing the bedroom and the desk.
The glass door opened.
There was a sofa and a table in front of the desk.

As it was a corner room, I could enjoy the view in two directions. The window can be opened about 4 inches.

Bathroom
There was a separate toilet and a bathroom across from the bed.
There was a sink in the restroom.
There was a spacious shower room with a glass door. There was a shower head fixed on the wall and a shower that comes directly from the front. The water pressure was good.
There was a space to put things in the shower room.
There was a big mirror, and part of it was a magnifying mirror.
Above the sink, was a body cream, shampoo, conditioner, and a face cleanser. The quality was average.

Closet and safe
There was a closet at the back of the room. There were enough hangers, an iron, an ironing board and extra sheets in the closet. There was no safe. The luggage stand next to the closet was also convenient.

Mini bar and cafe
There was a cafe corner at the front. A microwave was also installed as well.
There was a Starbucks coffee prepared. I asked for extra coffee everyday.
There was a fridge, but nothing was inside.

Restaurants in the hotel
There was a breakfast room on the first floor. Guests can have breakfast here for free.
Breakfast was buffet style.
Bagels and muffins.
Cereal and fuite.
There was always coffee and tea at the drinks corner.

There were small appetizers prepared in the evening.
There was also a casual bar on the first floor. They were doing happy hours and it was very crowded. Happy hour ends at nine o’clock.
There was a shop on the left side of the entrance. They were selling small snacks here. You cannot buy alcohol here.

The hotel had an indoor pool. It is connected with the fitness center.

There were two computers prepared in the hallway near the breakfast room on the first floor.

Environment around the hotel
Even though the downtown is a tourist destination, it had a sad atmosphere. However, during the day I saw some tourists walking around. The police made they rounds frequently, so I think it is a safe area.

Riding around on my mountain bike.
When I went on the Monument Road from the hotel for 45 minutes on a motorbike, and the view of was magnificent.

Staff and customer base
The hotel staff always greeted me and asked how I was doing. The housekeepers were especially kind.
There were a lot of people involved with the baseball events, and university baseball players from Arizona were staying. There were also people on a road trip.

Access
Grand Junction Regional Airport was nearby. It was convenient to get to the hotel from the highway as well. Subway, Burger King was within walking distance from the hotel. I also ordered takeout at a Chinese store. The Uber driver’s recommended sports bar was open until late and I was able to walk back to the hotel. The hotel was near all of my travel destinations which was very convenient. Going around town on my mountain bike was the best experience.

Summary
It was my first time in Colorado, but I was able to fully enjoy the restaurants even while on a business trip. It was nice that the hotel was close to many or the restaurant, because the restaurants close early. The room was not big, but it was a corner room on the top floor, so I could enjoy the view in two directions. Being able to ride my mountain bike close to a magnificent mountain was a very moving experience. I thought it would be nice to do yoga here. Many people visit here to enjoy nature. I would love to come back again next year.
