I decided to stat at the "Towne Place Suites by Marriott San Diego Airport/Liberty Station," because I had a business trip to Gaslamp in San Diego and was looking for a reasonable hotel in the area. I was searching for a hotel in the gas lamp area, but the price was ridiculously high, and I was able to stay at half the price at this hotel a little far away. There was a supermarket near the hotel, and I thought that it would be convenient for doing a little bit of last minute shopping.

The hotel is located right by the airport.
It was standing next to “Hampton Inn & Suites San Diego Airport Liberty Station” and both had similar designs making it difficult to distinguish between the two.

What is the Two Bedroom Suite like?
Guest room entrance door
There was a full length mirror at the entrance.
There were hooks to hang clothes.
There was a kitchen with an L-shaped counter, bathroom, two bedrooms and a living room. It felt as if I was staying in a house.
There was a king size bed in the bedroom closest to the bathroom. The bed was clean and comfortable to sleep on. There were four pillows and a cushion prepared on the bed.
The hotel is located near the airport, so I could hear the sound of airplanes from early in the morning.
There was an alarm clock and a phone on the bedside table.
TV across the bed.
There was another bedroom at the back.
There was a queen size bed in this bedroom. The room was a little smaller as well, but there was still plenty of space to relax.
There was also a TV in this bedroom.
There were drawers under the TV.
There were windows in the both bedrooms.
Next is the living room.
There was a sofa, foot rest, chair and a TV in the living room.
The sofa could be turned into a bed.

There was storage space under the TV.
I could hear and see the planes flying nearby. From the room, I could see a bay that connects to the San Diego Bay and the NTC Park around it. There was a window in the living room and both bedrooms and it was nice to be able to enjoy the view from different directions. The rooms were bright with sunlight shining in.

There was a bathtub that was handicap accessible with a handrail.
There was “TEA TREE” shampoo, conditioner and body soap prepared next to the shower.
There was hand soap and body lotion prepared on the sink.

There were closets in both bedrooms. They were also handicap accessible with a rack in a lower position.
There were extra blankets prepared inside.

Kitchen
There was a kitchen.
It had a sink, IH stove and a dishwasher. There was also detergent, kitchen paper and a coffee maker.
There were cooking utensils and chinaware prepared in the cabinet.
Microwave oven, IH stove and a big fridge.
RAIN FOREST coffee and tea, salt and pepper.
There was a counter with stools. I sat here and did some work on my computer with my husband.

Restaurants and shops in the hotel
Guests can have breakfast fore free. However, there were no other restaurants in the hotel.
The door to the pool was kept open, so it felt very nice in the breakfast venue.
Breakfast was served buffet style. Cereal, waffles, fruit and so on were prepared.
I had a nice breakfast before going to the gym.

Facilities in the hotel
There was an outdoor and a heated pool behind the breakfast venue which was open from 6 am to 10 pm. Deck chairs and tables set up by the pool. It was quiet during the day, probably because there were many guests who leave for the morning flight.
You can enter with your room key.
It was cold at night, but the pool was heated up.
There was a BBQ area next to the pool. I saw many people enjoying wine and relaxing.
There was a gym and I went at around 9pm, but it was crowded. However, it was a big gym, so I was not bothered by the crowd at all.

There were scooters here and there making it convenient to get around places.

Hotel Surroundings
There were parks and plazas across the bridge and it had a very laid back atmosphere. However, the roads were crowded with airport related vehicles. The hotel was also near the residential area in Point Loma. It was a safe neighborhood.

Staff and Guests
The staff gave me a very good impression. The housekeeper was having trouble cleaning the room which I had booked, so the staff prepared a better room for me instead. Also, I accidentally forgot my headphones at the gym, but when I contacted the front desk they had kept it for me.
Many people who had to catch a flight of arrived at the airport were staying at this hotel. I saw many pilots and flight attendants staying here. The front desk was crowded in the morning and at night.

Access
The hotel was within walking distance form the hotel. A shuttle bus was always in front of the hotel, and every time the shuttle arrived, the front desk was crowded with people checking in. There were shops such as Starbucks within walking distance, but at midnight everything was closed, so you will need a car to get to stores and restaurants that are open until late. Trader Joe’s is about 2km away and I brought my bike so I went for a snack after a walk.

Summary
I had a nice stay at this hotel. I enjoyed jogging and biking around the hotel, and being able to take pictures of the planes in the sky. There was an L-shaped kitchen counter in the guest room, so I enjoyed working on my computer as if I were living in my own apartment. It was also close to Trader Joe’s, my favorite supermarket, and I was happy to be able to get there easily. Even thought the hotel was close to the airport, it was quiet in the room at night. I had a very enjoyable stay.
