What is the Deluxe Room like?

IMg_0419(6) copy

There was a bathroom by the entrance.

IMg_0419 copy

The room was very nice. I stayed for two days, but the bed was made nicely and the room was cleaned very well both days.

IMg_0419(16) copy

The bed was a little high, but was very comfortable to sleep on. The blanket was thin for my taste.

IMg_0419(25) copy

There was a phone, alarm clock and two bottles of water on the bedside table.

IMg_0419(4) copy

There was a stuffed animal and a tray with a remote for the TV.

IMg_0419(24) copy

If you take this stuffed animal home with you, $29 will automatically be charged to your bill and get donated to dog shelters in San Francisco.

IMg_0419(29) copy

There was a TV, desk and closet across the bed.

IMg_0419(10) copy

Desk

IMg_0419(13) copy

There was a mirror, tablet, memo set and a cafe corner on the desk.

IMg_0419(2) copy

Next to the bed were two arm chairs.

IMg_0419(11) copy

There was a large window at the back of the room. I was staying on the 21st floor, so the view was very nice. The window was a little dirty, but it did not bother me too much at night and I was able to enjoy the night view.

IMg_0419 (15) copy

I could see shops at the Union Square. During winter time the sun sets at around 5pm, so I was able to enjoy the view at night for a longer period of time.

Hotel Surroundings

It was Christmas season, so the streets were crowded with tourists. I saw homeless people here and there, but they did not bother me. However, an area called Tenderloin that is near the hotel is said to be unsafe, so it is best to avoid walking in that neighborhood.

Staff and Guests

The staff were very polite and friendly. They all seemed used to dealing with tourists from overseas. This is a Japanese hotel, so there were many Japanese tourists staying. There were many families and elderly couples.

Access

If you ride the BART train from San Francisco International Airport, get off at Powell Street Station you can get to the hotel in 5 minutes on foot. It was convenient to buy a clipper card (IC card) when you board the train, as it makes traveling in San Francisco easier. The closest cable car station is near Powell Street Station. In addition, I arrived at Union Square in about 5 minutes on foot from the hotel. As for shopping, a CVS was nearby, so it was convenient for buying necessary items.

Summary

I had a nice stay at this hotel. The location was good and access from the airport was very easy. It was also convenient to get to tourist spots and the cable car platform. In addition, there were many restaurants and shops in the area. I was able to spend a pleasant time inside the hotel as well. The room was cleaned well and the staff were very friendly. It is not a cheap hotel, but it is a hotel worth staying at.
