My friend was playing at a basket ball tournament at the "Staple Center," so I decided to stay at the "Sheraton Grand Los Angeles" which was right near the "Staple Center."

The entrance was under construction.
There was a bell desk right by the entrance.
There were tables in the lobby.
There is a bar at the corner of the lobby, so you can order drinks and sit at one of the tables.
You can also relax on the sofas.
There were front desks decided into two sections.
The front desk was very fancy.

You can choose the floor you are planning on getting off on a panel before you get on the elevator.

What is the Deluxe King City View Room like?
Guest room entrance door. My room was on the 8th floor.
There was a full length mirror at the entrance.
There was a tray for putting small items. It was very handy.
There was a living room in the foreground. The furnitures were dark with dimmed lights and it was a room with a very relaxed atmosphere.
here was a sofa in the living room.
The sofa was very comfortable to lay on.
There was also an arm chair and a Los Angels style painting hanging next to it.
A TV and desk in the living room.
The bedroom was next to the living room. The bed was a king size bed. It was very quiet in the room and I was able to sleep very well.

The TV was set on a marble counter with drawers underneath.
There was also a stool and a painting in the bedroom.
There windows in both the bedroom and living room.
The hotel was located in the middle of the Down Town area, so it was surrounded by buildings.

Bathroom
There was a shower/bathtub with a shower curtain. It was very clean and water pressure and temperature were both just right.
There was shampoo, conditioner and body soap prepared on a tray. The smell was a little too strong for my taste.
There was a toilet next to the bathtub/shower.
The sink was not big, but it was nice and compact. The mirror had a nice and bright light shining in the back making it easy to do my makeup. There were also bath towels, face towels, hand towels and a hair dryer under the sink.
Amenities included a bar of soap, body lotion, mouthwash, shaving cream and cotton.

Mini bar and cafe
The cafe corner was on the desk in the living room. There was a coffee machine and Starbucks coffee prepared.
There was an ice pale, glasses and two free bottles of water prepared on a small table in the bedroom.
There was also a fridge in the cabinet, but nothing was prepared inside.

Restaurants and shops in the hotel
There was “Hope Street Bar” in the lobby.
You could order drinks at the counter and enjoy your dink on the sofa in the lobby.
There were restaurants in the same building as this hotel, but it was completely separate from the hotel.

Facilities in the hotel
There was a club lounge on the top floor of the hotel.
I am a member of Marriott, so I was able to have dinner and breakfast here.

There was a fitness center on the top floor as well. It is open 24 hours a day. I thought it was a luxury to be able to exercise while enjoying a nice view of the city.

Hotel Surroundings
The hotel was located in downtown LA, so I cannot say that it was a safe neighborhood. There were beggars here and there and I had to be extra careful at night. It is safe once you get into the hotel because you will need a key to enter.
“Staples Center” that was a 5 minute walk from the hotel.

The staff were friendly and helpful. Most guests seemed to be staying on a vacation and many of them were upper class.

Access
It took about 30 minutes from the airport to the hotel and I saw many pilots and flight attendants here and there. Metro’s 7th Street was on the other side of the hotel. It was a convenient location to be in even without a car because it was right by the station. The hotel was also connected to a large department store.
There was a subway station right by the hotel.
