I chose "Courtyard Los Angeles Pasadena / Old Town" because it's close to Dodger Stadium and Downtown Los Angeles. This time, I decided to stay in this area on my husband's business trip, but this hotel is near the Dodger stadium that I am going to and from due to my husband's work relationship, without being caught in that big traffic jam famous in Los Angeles, the hotel and the stadium It was convenient to be able to move comfortably in a short time. I also heard that it was a fashionable city, so I decided that I like it because it is close to downtown, which is convenient for taking a walk around the city and laddering restaurants on a business trip. I was looking forward to seeing how exciting downtown is because it was a weekend stay.

The hotel was big and there was a gas station next to it, so it was convenient to use a convenience store.
There was a large hotel name on the outer wall of the hotel.

A taxi is always on the road in front of the hotel which is convenient.

Upon entering the entrance, there was a solid door mat with the hotel name written on it.
The front desk was small and had 3 counters.
Lots of sofas and tables were set up in the lobby, and there was enough space to relax.
The ceiling was high with a window, so it was bright with light coming in.

What is the One King Suit like?
Guest room entrance door
When I entered the room, there was a large living space, and to the right of it was a bedroom of the same size, straddling the door.
The living room had a TV, desk and luggage rack.
A sofa with a foot rest.
A counter with a sink.
There was a bedroom next to the living room.
Bedroom
The king size bed was big and comfortable to sleep on.
There was another sofa with a foot rest in the bedroom.
Extra sheets were in drawers under the TV.

From the window on the living side, I could see the roof just below the front lobby, and the guest room was opposite.
I could see the courtyard pool and guest rooms from the bedroom window. I didn’t think it was a surprisingly good view, but I was glad that there were two patterns of view.

There was a bathtub with an integrated shower in the bathroom.

The shower was a fixed type, and there were no problems with water pressure and drainage. It was convenient because there was a space to put things on the side of the shower.

The mirror was big and the counter was spacious.
Amenities were prepared on the counter. Amenities included shampoos, conditioners, body soaps, body lotions, and soaps (large and small) unique to Marriott.

Closet and safe
The closet door was a mirror. Due to the size of the room, it wasn’t that big, but it had enough hangers inside. Other items included an iron, ironing board, and laundry bag.

Mini bar and cafe
There was a counter with a sink in the living room. This counter was very convenient, and I could put my wine, beer, and ice cooler in it, and I could store snacks in the space below.
There was a coffee machine above the counter, but for some reason there was only one different kind of coffee. There was also a tea bag.
There were also some seasoned ice buckets and four glasses on the counter. Water was paid (certainly $ 5).
There was also a microwave and refrigerator under the counter. There was nothing in the fridge.

Restaurants and shops in the hotel
I didn’t use it, but there was a restaurant “The Bistro” in the lobby. In the evening, many people use the bar, and I saw many people enjoying wine. It was crowded during breakfast.

Facilities in the hotel
The courtyard had an outdoor pool, which was key accessible.
There were many deck chairs set up by the pool.
The pool was lit up at night and it was beautiful. The pool was open from 7am to 10pm.
There were sofas in the courtyard.
There was also a fitness center open from 6am to 11pm.
There was also a room on the first floor that could be used for meetings and events.

Hotel Surroundings
In Old Town Pasadena, we could see the state of the old downtown area, there were places to shop and restaurants such as restaurants and bars. There are parks here and there, and it felt like a city full of greenery. There were many tourists during the day, and locals gathered for dinner and dates from dusk, and it looked like a downtown area overall.

Staff and Guests
There was a bellman at the entrance and many staff around the front desk who were always available.
There seemed to be many guests staying on business trips.

Access
The train station from Los Angeles was just around the corner. There were wanderers around the station, but the station itself was open and looked safe. There was also a Japanese supermarket about 10 minutes by car. I went to the Rose Bowl that I wanted to go in about 10 minutes. The streets in the city were close to each other, and it was easy, safe and smooth to walk around.

Summary
I had a nice stay at this hotel. A little different from the usual Marriott courtyard, it was a good hotel with the image of full Marriott service. Also, the location was good and the city was compact, so it was great to walk around. In particular, it was good that we could spend the evening meal at the restaurant, return to our room, take a break, and walk around to search for bars and live music shops, so that we could enjoy the atmosphere of the city. It was a hot summer time, but there are many parks around, so I thought it would be fun to go hiking or cycling around the city in spring or autumn.
