I participated in the JAL Pack Tour at the "Sheraton Princess Kaiulani" which I stayed at this time. The JAL Pack Lounge was in the Hyatt Regency Hotel next to this hotel, and the main shopping facilities where T Galleria, International Shopping Center, Macy's, Waikiki Beach Walk and etc. The main reason for choosing this hotel was because the sea is right by the hotel. I felt secure because it is Sheraton, and also the price was reasonable for a hotel in Waikiki.

What is the appearance of the hotel? Check the entrance and reception
This hotel feels like a Hawaiian resort surrounded by palm trees.
There is a roundabout where you can park your car in front of the entrance.
Entrance.
The entrance on the rotary side. They will help you carry large luggages here.
Front counter. Check-in is after 13:00, but I arrived after 12:00 this time, and I asked if I could check-in earlier, and they checked me in with a very pleasant response. In the daytime, there were many guests standing in line, but there were a lot of counters, I do not think that you will have to wait long.
The lobby was also crowded, especially during the day
The lobby was a very stylish and relaxing space, except for the busy times.
There is also a painting of Princess Kaiulani next to the entrance and reception, which shows tradition and taste.
First floor elevator hall.

What is the City View Room like?
Entrance door.
All I wanted was a comfortable room to relax and sleep in, so I did not mind what the view was like, but over all it was better than I expected.
The bed was a little high, but it was comfortable to sleep in. The bed itself was large, and the cushion was not too soft and not too hard, so it was very nice.
The whole room was very simple. As for the size of the room, even if I opened two large suitcases, there was still enough space to walk around.
Information magazines of Hawaii were placed.

Bathroom
The bathroom was very clean and I was satisfied with the basic amenities such as shampoo, conditioner and bar soap.
Because it was a room that was renovated, it had a overhead shower and a hand shower that could be held. However, the water pressure of the shower was very weak and I was a little disappointed.
The size of the bathtub was large enough and the drainage was good.
Toilet in the bathroom.
Extra toilet paper and towels.
There was also a dryer.
The amenities included shampoo, conditioner and bar soap. There was no body soap or body cream, so it is better to bring one on your own. Slippers and toothbrushes are on a request basis, so you will need to contact the reception if necessary. New items were replenished daily included toilet paper and tissue, but one day forgot to, to I had to ask them to bring more towels and toilet papters.

Mini bar and cafe
There was a built-in coffee maker in the room. The house-keeper will replenish the coffee daily. You can also get water daily in a 500 ml plastic bottle. This was a very welcoming service for me, because I did not have to buy water during my stay.
There is also a refrigerator.

View from the veranda
The room has a veranda. There are 2 chairs on the balcony.
There are 2 chairs on the veranda.
This time I was a little disappointed at the 8th floor parking lot view rather than the city view because I made a reservation without specifying a room. At night, the noise of the cars were bothersome. I think I would have been able to relax a little more if I was staying in a ocean view room.

Hotel Pool
There is a private pool in the hotel courtyard. It seemed to be popular with families with children.
Bath towels can be rented by showing the room key at the poolside reception.
There were a lot of beach chairs by the pool, and there were many guests relaxing.
There are also stylish sofas and tables which can be used if you buy drinks and food at the SPLASAH BAR and pay over $100.

Waikiki Beach
Although the hotel does not face the beach, you can reach Waikiki Beach in about 5 minutes on foot. We did not use it this time, but there is beach service for hotel guests, and it seems that hotel staff distribute water and fruit twice from 10 o’clock to 14 o’clock every day on Waikiki Beach. It is a free service as it is included in the resort fee. Such service seems to be able to distinguish guest on the mark with beach chair and beach towel which are rented at the hotel.
When the weather is good, the water at the beach becomes even more transparent. You can also see the beautiful sunset.

Restaurants in the hotel
There is a restaurant called “Pikake Terrace.”
We do not eat here this time, but it is said that it is open for breakfast buffet from 6:00 to 11:00 in the morning and dinner from 17:30 to 21:00 in the evening. As for the breakfast buffet, the chef make you an omelet in front of you, and the type of buffet food was plentiful and it looked delicious.
“Splash Bar” is located by the pool.
It is crowded with people at night. You can order only drinks or only snacks if you like.

Hotel surrounding environment
It is in a very good location. The Hyatt Regency, Moana Surfrider, Outrigger and Royal Hawaiian and major hotels in the area of Waikiki are also located nearby, and you can easily visit the bars and restaurants of each hotel.
There is a cafe called “Aloha Coffee Company” along Kalakaua Road just outside the hotel. Besides coffee, I also sold Acai bowls and smoothies. Snacks such as bagels were also sold, and it was convenient as it was not crowded early in the morning. In addition, there is a sister store of the ABS store called Hawaiian Casuals, and there are groceries and beach goods sold here.
As there are rental motorcycles in town, it is convenient for going around the city.
Queens Surf Beach.
People enjoying volleyball on the beach.
Kuhio Beach.
Kuhio Beach Park has free hula shows.
Kapaful peer.
Sunset and palm trees are very beautiful in the evening.
It is highly recommended for those interested in the Honolulu Museum of Art and Fine Arts. The Honolulu Museum of Art is accessible via the bus and the trolley.
There is a Whole Foods market, and it’s fun to just look at organic products.

Access
It took about 30 minutes by taxi from the airport to the hotel. The hotel faces Kalakaua Road and was very convenient. In addition, Kuhio street is just behind the hotel, and the international market place has been renovated, and shops such as Nordstrom rack have also increased, so there were many crowded streets even at night.
The trolleybus stop along Kalakaua Road and also the bus stop along Kuhio Road is close to the hotel as well, and access was good no matter where you go.

Staff and customer base
The hotel staffs were kind. I sent a package to the hotel, so I went to the bell desk to pick up the package, and the package was kept safely and the bell staff even carried the package for me which was very helpful.
There were many flight attendants staying. There were also families, couples on a honeymoon and so on. Also, it seems that the people who are coming for the tour are also staying, and the guests of the group were also seen in the lobby on a daily basis.

Summary
Even though it is a hotel that is standing in a good location, the room rate is reasonable. Facilities and rooms were upgraded after the renovation, and there was a unique service for guests. There are a variety of free services included in the resort fee, such as beach chairs, GoPro rentals, and fruit and water services. You can also feel the Hawaiian roots and culture unique to this hotel, named after Princess Kaiulani. Photos of the dynasty period was laid out on the reception wall of the lobby, and an exhibition room was opened around it to tell the history, and a portrait of Princess Kaiulani was also displayed. If have the chance to go to Hawaii, I would like to stay here again.
