Detailed review & photos “The Royal Hawaiian, a Luxury Collection Resort, Waikiki”

In addition to the main pink building, there was a 17-story Mylani Tower, which was renovated and reopened in April, 2015. I stayed in the Mylani Tower.

All rooms face the beach.

The hotel is built along the beach, but off the main street. This is the main entrance. There were trees and flowers planted around the entrance, creating a tropical atmosphere.

There were many shops lined up at the entrance.

The front desk was on the left side of the entrance. There was also a concierge desk across the front desk.

There was also a Marriott Bonvoy elite dedicated counter at the front desk.

It is said that 800 palm trees were planted in this Helmore Garden when the hotel was built.

There was a gorgeous and relaxing space at the lobby on the beach side.

There was a full length mirror on the right and a bathroom on the left.

The room is 32 square meters and not very big, but the interior was simple and calm with a refreshing impression. The room was kept clean and the ocean view took my breath away.

The bed was king size and very big. There were four pillows and a red cushion prepared on the bed.

There was a memo set and a phone on this side of the bed.

On the other side was an alarm, outlet and a USB port.

There was water and chocolate on the table after the turndown service.

There was a veranda.

There was a sofa on the veranda, so I was able to enjoy the view of the ocean and the sound of waves while sitting and relaxing.

I could see the pink building on the right.

If I looked down I could see the outdoor pool billow.

There was a bathtub with a shower, sink, toilet and a closet in the bathroom.

The bathtub was not very deep, but I was able to stretch my legs and relax.

The shower was a removable hand shower with a strong enough water pressure.

Shower, conditioner and body soap were prepared by the shower.

There was also a bar of soap.

The toilet had a washlet function.

Towels were prepared above the toilet.

There was only one sink, but the counter was spacious.

Amenities were prepared on the sink. There was a toothbrush set, body cream, shower cap, cotton & swab, and facial cleanser. All amenities were of a Hawaiian brand called Marie Organics.

Bath towels and extra roles of toilet paper were prepared under the sink.

The sink was behind the sink. Pink bathrobes were hanging in the closet.

The safe was stored in a shelf next to the TV.

There was plenty of space to store valuables inside.

There was a counter for the cafe corner ext to the bathroom. There was a coffee machine, electric kettle, cups, two bottles of free mineral water, coffee and tea.

There was a fridge, but nothing was inside it.

“Mai Tai Bar” on the beach was crowded. I recommend trying the mai-tai cocktail at this bar.

A seafood restaurant called “Azure” next to the beach. Every morning the seafood are bought at the Hawaii Fish Market.

“Royal Hawaiian Bakery” on the 1st floor. This is the first independent bakery in Oahu to be used by non-hotel guests.

There was also a store called “Marie Organics” which also sells hotel amenities.

There were many shops to visit in the hotel.

The hotel had a heated pool “Marulani Pool” overlooking the beach. There was a jacuzzi in the back. This pool is small, but Royal Hawaiian guests can also use the nearby Sheraton Hotel’s Helmore Playground Pool. There is a waterslide at the Sheraton pool, so families with children may enjoy it more.

“My Tie Bar” is on the beachfront and you can order drinks here.

The hotel also had a private beach. This beach is located right in the middle of Waikiki Beach. There are many chairs with parasols on the beach that you can use freely.

The beach was crowded even after sundown.

A fitness center available 24 hours a day.

There was also a spa called the “Abhasa Spa.”

There was a club lounge that only Milani Tower guests can use. You can only enter the lounge with your room key.

You an have free breakfast and dinner here.

17:00 to 18:00 alcohol such as beer and cocktails were provided.

The menu changed daily.

I was able to enjoy my drink while feeling the nice tropical breeze.
