Detailed review & photos “Aston at the Waikiki Banyan”

The hotel is not flashy and the surrounding area is quiet.

There were no doors to the entrance, so it was a open space.

The hotel is old, so I cannot say that it is clean.

There was a lake and lots of green in the lobby.

It was nice to sit down at the lobby and relax with a nice breeze blowing in.

The room was for a total of 4 people (2 adults and 2 infants,) and it was large enough. There is enough space for kids to run around. However, because the building itself was old, the room was old as well.

There was a living/dining room. The living room had a sofa, table and a TV.

Next to the kitchen was a dining table.

There was a balcony which you can get to from the living room.

Next to the living room was a bedroom. There was a queen size bed which was very big. The hight was just right and I was able to sleep very well.

The ocean view does not mean that it faces the sea, so this time I had a mountain view, but without Diamond Head included. There were only a few tall buildings around and the scenery was nice.

In the standard room, the lower floor, mountain view, and ocean view change depending on the price. Above all, the night view was very beautiful with the lights from houses. I could also see the sunrise early morning.

The bathroom is narrow with a unit bath. The bath and toilet were pretty old. It was not a very beautiful bathroom, but it was not a problem for taking a quick shower.

The shower was fixed on the wall. If it was only me, it would not have been a problem, but it was a little inconvenient to wash my children.

The water pressure was just right and hot water came out right away, so it was very easy to use.

Amenities included soap, shampoo, conditioner, shower gel and body lotion. Will replenish every day. I do not know the manufacturer well, but the design was cute and the smell was very nice. It was a tropical scent such as papaya. There are no other amenities prepared, so you will need to bring them on your own.

There was also a hair dryer.

The closet was not very big compared to the spacious rooms.

There were many drawers in the rooms, so there was no problem with storage. There was an iron set, baggage rack and hangers in the closet.

There was also a safe in the closet. It was a type that you lock with a key.

There was a kitchen with a microwave and an oven.

Glasses and cups.

There was a coffee maker in the cafe corner. If you like coffee, you can drink coffee while looking at the view from the veranda in the morning! The coffee brand was regular (yellow) Hawaiian paradise coffee. House keeping will bring more if you drink some.

There was a big fridge, but nothing was inside.

They sold a variety of drinks, food and daily necessities, but they were expensive.

There was an outdoor pool which is open from 8:00 to 21:00. There were beach chairs around the pool. Because the pool is on the 6th floor, depending on the time of the day, it may be shady, but it was not too cold and never too crowded, so I was able to enjoy myself.

On the 6th floor was a BBQ area, playground, tennis court and etc.

There was a playground which my children enjoyed.

There were many families staying. I also saw friends staying together, but did not see many couples staying.
