Detailed review & photos “The Ritz-Carlton Residences, Waikiki Beach”

The design of the building imitated the waves on the beach.

There was a staff at the entrance who took my bags in a friendly manner.

The front desk was on the 8th floor.

During check in they brought me a hand towel and a tropical fruit juice.

There was a bedroom at the front and a living room at the back, and you can open and close a sliding door to divide the two rooms. It was nice to be able to change the atmosphere of the room.

The bed was a king size bed which was very comfortable to sleep on.

The bed mattress was soft, but I did not sink in to the mattress.

A dining table. If you turn the sofa into a bed, up to four people can stay in this room, so there were four chairs surrounding the dining table.

There was a TV in the living room as well. Under the Tv was a desk and a luggage stand.

There was a plug-in outlet and a USB port on the desk.

There was a balcony to the room. Deck chairs and tables were prepared on the balcony, so you can sit and relax outside. I thought it would be perfect for eating lunch and dinner on the balcony. It was nice that that was a wall between our balcony and the balcony next to ours. Unfortunately, the fence was not high, so it may be troublesome if the wind is blowing strong.

I was able to enjoy the view of Waikiki.

Because it was staying in a room with a view of the ocean I was able to seen the beautiful ocean very well. I enjoyed opening the curtains in the morning.

There was a spacious bathroom.

There was a washroom with a bathtub. The shower was a removable hand shower, and although the water pressure was not strong, but it was not a problem for me. However, the position of the shower was a little high, so it may be short people to reach it. The shower head is large, so it did not take time to wash my hair and body. The water pressure for the shower was stronger in the morning than at night, so it may be slightly different depending on the time.

Shampoo, conditioner and body soap were prepared by the bathtub.

There were two sinks.

Amenities were prepared on the sink. Toothbrushes, soap, mouthwash and so on were available. The soap smelled so nice that I wanted to buy one for myself. The quality was good.

There was a hairdryer in a bag.

There was a closet across the bed.

There were several hangers, slippers, drawers for small items, iron and an ironing board prepared inside. It may be a little small for those who are stay for a long time.

There was a washing machine and a dryer.

There was a kitchen in the room.

There was a large fridge. Four bottles of water were prepared inside.

There were different types of coffee.

A French restaurant called “LA VIE” in front of the reception that serves a buffet style breakfast. The tables were big, so families can eat at eases.

It was a casual restaurant with no dress code.

There was a restaurant called “QUIORA” by the pool and you can enjoy drinks here. The restaurant had a resort feel to it.

There was an adult-only pool and a family pool. Both were on the same floor and were not far apart. The family pool was crowded with families, so if you want to spend a quiet time,I recommend swimming at the adult-only pool.

There are deck chairs by the pool, so I was able to read a book and relax. The pool is open until 22:00, and many people resting by the pool after dinner.

It was a small pool, but the view was nice because it was on the upper floor. The view at night was nice as well.

You can close the curtains and relax on the deck chair. This private space costs money though.

There was water provided for free. It was very refreshing.

There was a gym in the hotel. It had big windows and I saw many people exercising.

The gym is open 24 hours a day.

There were many luxury brand shops around the hotel.

I saw many guests staying for a long time. There were people who came as a family, but also as friends and couples. It is an upper scale hotel, so the guests seemed high class as well.
