Detailed review & photos “Moana Surfrider, A Westin Resort & Spa, Waikiki Beach”

The lights are beautiful at night.

State before the entrance. As I went up the stairs, there was a rocking chair space on both sides.

The entrance is tropical and open, and the scent of Westin’s unique sweet flowers was nice. There are also women’s yearnings for Moana surf riders, and wedding photography being done and it was surrounded by a happy atmosphere.

There was a light switch and an air conditioning adjustment panel by the door.

The Banyan Wing was the first building in history, and it was retro-style like an old castle. The room was spacious and there was still enough space even with the suitcases opened up.

Even though it was retro, it didn’t feel old. I was disappointed that there was np veranda, but I was glad to be able to stay in such a nice room.

The bed was very comfortable to sleep on. The fluffy pillows that were prepared helped me sleep deeply.

There was a TV opposite the bed.

There was also a desk and a chair.

The bathroom was at the end of the room.

There was also a bathtub in the bathroom. The bathroom was spacious and very comfortable to use.

The water pressure of the shower was just right. The temperature control was also good. However, the place to put the shower head was too high and it was a little inconvenient. There was also a rain shower, but I personally disliked the foam splashing and did not use it.

The toilet had a washlet.

There were towels, tissue, spare toilet paper, and a hair dryer in the shelves under the wash basin.

The amenities included Westin’s own refreshing and sweet floral scented body lotion, soap, shampoo, conditioner, body soap and a mouthwash. I was happy to be able to sleep with the nice smell coming form my body. Amenities were replenished every day. Unfortunately, there was no toothpaste, tooth brush or comb.

There was a closet next to the TV. The closet contained 12 hangers, an ironing board an iron, extra pillows, bathrobes and a safe.

The safe was a common type of setting a security code.

The height was less than 15 cm and the side was a small size of less than 25 cm.

There was a cafe corner on the desk. At the cafe corner, coffee makers and tea bags were prepared.

There was an electric kettle, an ice bucket, bottled water, glasses and etc on the storage rack under the TV.

There was a refrigerator in the storage rack below the TV.

Temperature control of the refrigerator could not be done. There was nothing in the fridge and there was no mini bar.

There was the “Beach Bar” right next to the beach.

The hotel had the “Honolulu Coffee Company.”

“Accents” has food, drinks, daily necessities, magazines and etc in addition to souvenirs.

“Moana By Design” is the official logo shop of the hotel.

The hotel had an outdoor pool for hotel guests only. If you show your room key, you will be able to rent a towel, so there is no need to take a towel from your room.

Chairs are located by the pool and you can sit for free wherever you like. As you can swim in the pool from 7 o’clock in the morning, there were many people who came earlier and saved seats. For chairs with canopy, you will need to book it and pay money.

You can swim until 18:00 at night. After that, it will be lit up and it is a romantic atmosphere. There is also a beach bar next to the pool so you can drink while looking at the lighted pool. There is also a private beach for sunset, so you can watch the sunset without feeling crowded. I did not make a reservation, but there was also a tour to see the sunset on a  boat, so I want to try it out next time.

Towels that can be rented by the pool at the beach.You can rent more if it gets dirty or wet.

You also need a reservation and money if you use beach umbrellas lined up on a private beach. It is recommended to make a reservation immediately after arrival at the hotel. If you can not make a reservation, it is recommended that you go to the reception desk from around 6:30, as the pool will be open from 7 o’clock.

There was also a fitness center on the second floor of the Tower Wing. It is open for 24 hours.

Towels and water are also provided in the fitness centre.

There was also the “Moana Lani Spa” on the second floor of the hotel. You can get a spa treatment with a wonderful view of the oceanfront.

There was a business center on the first floor. There were two Apple PCs and a printer.

Enter the entrance and walk through the lobby to the beach bar with banyan trees. A rocking chair is placed on this side as well as on the entrance side.

There are also many rocking chairs on the 2nd floor entrance. The view is of the town, but it is recommended as there are not many people, so you can spend a leisurely time!
