Detailed review & photos “Hyatt Regency Waikiki Beach Resort & Spa”

It is not entirely new, but it is well maintained and clean.

The lighting in the elevator is luxurious.

Guest room elevator hall. It was disappointing that the number of elevators were small compared to the number of rooms in the hotel. There was a ukulele player at the elevator hall on the front floor, which made my waiting time fell shorter.

Guest room entrance door seen from the room. It was very convenient to have a full-length mirror installed on the right side of the entrance door.

Although it is not new, the condition is good, it is clean and the room is big enough.

There is a desk and a chair opposite the bed.

There was a landline and a power strip on the desk.

A television was installed next to the desk. There was also a sofa for single use next to the TV.

There was a storage shelf under the TV and it was convenient.

It is a common double bed, but the sleeping comfort was good. There were four pillows, and one extra pillow was in the closet.

There was also a phone on the bedside table.

The room had a veranda with 2 chairs and a table. It was not big, but I liked it, so I spent a lot of time on the veranda.

As it was a room with a mountain view, so the view was nice.

It is difficult to eat, drink and read on the veranda because the wind is strong.

Even though it is a hotel standing in the middle of the city, it was quiet at night and I did not hear any noise from the next room and was able to spend a peaceful time.  The night view was also beautiful.

There is a wash basin in front of the bathroom, and there is a bathtub, shower and toilet behind the door. It was nice that the bathroom was wide.

The size of the bathtub is common and it is clean.

The shower had a fixed overhead shower and a hand shower that could be adjusted in height. However, the water pressure of the shower was weak which was disappointing.

The amenities are “Na Ho’ola Spa” and there was shampoo, conditioner, shower gel, body soap, hand soap, toothbrush, cotton, cotton swab and a shower cap. All of the amenities were good and the scent of the shampoo was especially nice because it made me feel like I was in Hawaii.

There was also a hair dryer.

There was an open closet in front of the wash basin.

The closet was large and convenient because there were many hangers. There was also an iron, an ironing board, and a luggage stand in the closet.

There were a lot of shelves, so I was thankful because I was staying for a long time. The safe was a general number lock type, which was large enough to hold valuables.

There was a cafe corner and a refrigerator under the TV stand. There was nothing special prepared, and only tea and coffee. The fridge was also small.

There were shops such as ABC store, Aloha shirt, ukulele, miscellaneous goods, and also cafes. It was nice because I was able to buy souvenirs easily. Also, depending on the day, there is a farmers market being held.

The area around the hotel was prosperous. There were shops nearby and the access was good so it was very convenient. Around the restaurant was a hamburger shop, a pancake shop, a diner and etc. There was a bar if you walk a little ways, and there was a street live at night and it was lively, but the area around the hotel was relatively quiet even though it was crowded. The surrounding shops and restaurants close at around 23 o’clock.

All the guest looked casual. It seemed like there were more couples than families. Also, there were many elderly guests as well, and I thought that it may be because it is a hotel in a very convenient location.

There is a Royal Hawaiian Center within walking distance from the hotel and there was no trouble for shopping. In addition, there was a bus stop in front of the hotel and I was able to go to the Ala Moana Center right away. A rental car shop was near from the hotel and it was convenient because I could go there on foot.
