I decided to stay at the "Aloft El Segundo Los Angeles Airport" because my husband had an early flight the next morning and preferred to stay at a hotel near Los Angeles airport. This hotel had a unique atmosphere and I was interested to see what it was like.
What is the appearance of the hotel? Check the entrance and reception
The building was white and somewhat futuristic.
Hotel name at the top of the hotel.
There was a canopy at the entrance. In the morning, I saw people riding thee hotel shuttle bus to the airport.

The front desk was round and very casual.
There was a table in the lobby where people were enjoying beer and working.
There was a terrace next to the lobby that overlooked the outdoor pool.
There were sofas in the lobby as well.
There was also a pool table.
“W XYZ Bar” at the back of the lobby.
An interesting design next to the elevator hall.

What is the One Bedroom Suite like?
There were two separate rooms with a high ceiling. I was surprised at how big the rooms were.
Comfortable sofas in the living room.
There was a TV and desk in the living room. You can put your luggage on a stand under the TV.
The desk was big with snacks, magazines and two small bottles of wine prepared on top.

There was a bedroom next to the living room. There was another TV set across the bed.
There were two queen size beds. It was big and comfortable to sleep on.
There was a door at the back of the living room, which led us straight to the outdoor pool. People can see into the room, but the hotel was usually empty during the day, so I kept the curtains open and enjoyed the sunlight. The rooms on the upper floor have balconies, but I preferred to stay in a room with easy access to the pool.
The walls near the pool had a cute design.

Bathroom
The bathroom had a shower/bathtub that was very clean.
There was a toilet right next to the shower/bathtub. It had a handrail that would be helpful for elderly people and those who are handicap.
Water pressure and temperature was just right. Shampoo, conditioner and body soap were prepared next to the shower.
The sink was very simple.
There was a bar of soap and body lotion on the sink. It smelled very fresh.

Closet and safe
There was a shelf with a space for hanging clothes. In addition, there was an iron and ironing board prepared.
There was also a safe, but it was in plain sight.

Mini bar and cafe
The cafe corner was on the same shelf as the closet.
There was a coffee machine and two bottles of water prepared. I did not drink coffee in the room, because there were drinks in the lobby.
There was a small fridge, but there was nothing inside.

Restaurants in the hotel
“W XYZ Bar” in the lobby was lively after 10pm and it was exciting.
There was also a snack corner called “re:fuel.”
Yogurt and fruit.
You can order green salad, cereal and so on.
It cost less than $15 for a salad, banana and a drink which was filling.

Facilities in the hotel
There was an outdoor pool. It was very clean with orange chairs, white tables and parasols evenly placed by the pool. The pool is open from 7am to 10pm.
Some rooms are facing the pool, but trees were planted to keep privacy.
Th pool was lit up at night.
There were computers and printer on the 1st floor.

Hotel Surroundings
The hotel is just south of Los Angeles airport, so you can see planes flying nearby and crowded roads, but it was a convenient location with stores and restaurants here and there. It is in a prefect location for those coming and going to the airport.
A supermarket called “Ralphs” across from the hotel.

Staff and Guests
There were very nice young staff standing at the front desk. There was only one staff working at the snack corner, so it took a little time to order my food.
Most people were staying to get to the airport in the morning and the lobby was very crowded with people waiting for the airport shuttle and Uber.

Access
Access to the hotel was very good. I drove my husband to the airport and it took less than 15 minutes. There was a hamburger shop across from the hotel and I was able to buy a hamburger before checking in. “Ralph’s” was across the road and I was able to shop there. I checked in late at night, but it was convenient because the supermarket was open 24 hours.

Summary
The hotel had a very interesting structure and it was like a maze, but also was a relaxed and stress-free hotel. The bar was lively at night creating a fun atmosphere. The room was big with easy access to the pool and I was disappointed that I was only staying for a day. I asked for a late checkout and I was told that I could stay until 4:00, so I went to the gym and had a late lunch. Many of the guests left early in the morning, so I had the hotel to my self! I would love to stay here again.
