Newly opened in 2014, Mandarin Oriental Taipei is a five-star hotel offering the finest space and hospitality in Taipei. Buildings made in European style and interiors designed in classical modern were very gorgeous and elegant. Since its opening, there have been many world famous stars such as Jackie Chain, Milla Jovovich, Madonna, Chris Evans, Ayumi Hamasaki and Hidetoshi Nakata who have stayed at this hotel. I had the opportunity to spend time like a celebrity at this gorgeous hotel.
The Mandarin Oriental Group seems to attach a concept to the design of each hotel to this fan mark. The Mandarin Oriental Taipei fan seems to have the motif of “European antique fan with 200 years of history.”
A European style building.
The hotel is surrounded by tress even though it is in the middle of the city.
The entrance has a roof, so you will not get wet even if it is raining. There are always at least three a doormen standing at the door.
There is a luxurious chandelier made of 50,000 crystals, designed by a famous Czech artist hanging at the entrance making the room bright.
The classic modern floor is marbled with a rich design, and there are comfortable sofas lined up in the lobby.
The front desk has a spacious area along by the big windows. Over 1700 artworks and sculptures are on display in the hotel and they are the work of award-winning artists and some of the world’s leading ink-jet artists.
I could not help but look at the art work displayed in the hotel as if I was in a museum.
There are mirrors in the hall and the elevator, making the space feel open.
The guest room corridor is covered with a floral carpet, and the doors are lit up with a stylish square lamp. The hotel seems particular about lighting.

The Mandarin Oriental Taipei where I stayed this time was the finest hotel where you can taste a special celebrity feeling. The hotel is a little expensive, and it’s a difficult hotel to choose from when it comes to sightseeing, but it’s sure to give you an unprecedented excitement in a first-class space. I would definitely like to stay here again.
