"Hotel Royal Nikko Taipei" where I stayed this time is within walking distance from Zhongshan MRT Station and is located along Namiki Street on North Zhongshan Road. This hotel has been open since 1984. It is located in Zhongshan, which is also the center of the business area, among the many hotels, the hotel that has been around for more than 30 years was a refined hotel. Also, each room is currently being renewed.
The head of the hotel could be seen from the trees planted along the Zhongshan North Road.
In summer, it is difficult to see the whole appearance, but it has a green atmosphere.
The building is made of brick and has a European retro feel.
The entrance has a high ceiling to the lounge window on the 2nd floor.
The doorman will open the door for you.
The front desk has a modern cream white color a gentle indirect lighting.
You can relax in the lobby.
These stairs provide easy access to the restaurant on the second floor and the gift shop at the basement.
This time I stayed in a room that has not been renewed yet, but it was still very clean.
Guest room elevator hall.
The room was covered with a carpet, and I felt new layout and furniture. The light from the window was bright. A couch was placed by the window and there was a space to put my luggage by the TV.
The large king size bed was comfortable to sleep on. Four pillows were prepared.
There is a phone and an alarm clock on the bedside table. There was an electrical switch and outlet on the wall beside the bed.
The couch by the window has an ottoman which you can relax your legs on.
On the other side is a study desk, shelf with a cafe, TV, drawer and a TV stand.
The study desk is not very large and can hold a laptop and documents, but the chair is comfortable to sit and work well.
Stationery prepared on the desk.
You can see the bathroom from the bedroom.
The bathroom with a large window made the room feel bigger.
If you keep the blinds open, the bathroom is very bright. The sink was wide and convenient to use. A TV was installed as well.
There is a chair by the sink, and a makeup mirror is placed to make it more convenient for women.
The bathroom is partitioned by glass and the shower and bathtub are separate.
It is nice to be able to relax in a beautiful bathtub.
The sink was a bowl type, but it was a little small to wash my face.
I was impressed by the L’Occitane shampoo, conditioner, body soap, body lotion and soap placed on the sink. To be honest, I wanted to take it home with me.
The drawer had many amenities including toothbrush set, comb, razor, swab, cotton, hair rubber and shower cap.
There is a toilet on the other side across the hallway from the bathroom.
The private toilet separated from the bathroom is great for families and couples who stay overnight. The tile floor and toilet bowl were cleaned very well.
The toilet has a Washlet function.
A sink with a towel rack.
A closet is next to the toilet.
There were bathrobes and slippers in the closet, and there were many hangers. There was also a safe.
The safe was very big. There was also a spray on top of the safe.
Apples and bananas and Nikko Hotel’s original pineapple cake were served on a plate placed on a TV stand.
When you open the shelf, coffee, tea bags and cups are placed. Hot water can be put made with the electric kettle.
There were many drinks prepared in the fridge.
The hotel has 3 restaurants and a breakfast buffet!
The buffet restaurant “Le Café,” where you can enjoy breakfast, lunch and dinner, and “Nakayama,” a Japanese restaurant.
All Day Dining “Le Cafe.”
There were many seats.
Breakfast is from 6:00 to 10:00. Japanese, Western and Chinese dishes are lined up at the buffet counter. A variety of bite-sized were being served.
You can drink freshly ground coffee such as espresso, cappuccino, latte macchiato from the coffee machine.
Lunch 11: 30-14: 00 and tea time 14: 30-17: 00 can be eaten, but the dinner buffet 18: 00-21: 30 was even more enriched.
The buffet counter is filled with dishes which smelled very nice.
There were dishes that were similar to breakfast and lunch, but by far the dinner was more varied in meat and fish dishes, and more expensive ingredients were used.
Roast beef cut on the spot.
Many types of sweets such as cake.
I did not eat here, but this is the Japanese restaurant “Nakayama.”
You can enjoy sushi and Japanese food using fresh seafood from lunch to dinner.
It is a casual restaurant. The seats are big and open. There are also sushi bar counter seats and private rooms.
Cantonese cuisine “Minggu.”
Authentic Cantonese cuisine prepared by a Hong Kong chef can be ordered as a full course or as a single item. It can be a banquet or party venue as well.
In addition to restaurants, the hotel also has a gift shop and a confectionery store called “Royal Bakery,” as well as facilities such as a lounge, meeting room, pool and gym.
The royal bakery at the end of the lobby on the 1st floor sells homemade bread and cake, cookies and chocolate as a souvenir.
Hotel original macadamia nut nougat and pineapple cake seemed to be particularly popular.
There are recreational facility on the rooftop.
When the weather is nice, you can relax on the deck chair and look out over the city from here.
Although it is a small gym, it was enough to get some exercise.
You can walk around safely at night.
There are various shops in front of the hotel and you can shop there, and there are many restaurants as well.
This is a map on the Zhongshan North Road. You can see that many hotels, including the Nikko Hotel, are concentrated around the current location.
The nearby Shinko Mitsukoshi department store is famous for small buns.
The restaurant was crowded.
It is a 4-minute walk from Zhongshan MRT Station, a 45-minute drive from Taiwan Taoyuan International Airport, and a 15-minute drive from Taipei Songshan Airport. A taxi is about NT $ 1,300 one way from Taoyuan Airport, and NT $ 250 from Matsuyama Airport. It is in a good location where you can go to Zhongshan Station from the hotel and go to each sightseeing spot by MRT.
The hotel staff were kind and polite.
There were many businesses-men. In addition, since there is a free parking lot in the basement, local tourists were seen. It seems to be widely used by families, couples and elderly couples.
I was able to see the other rooms with the help of the staff.
This is the “New Premier Room.”
It was smaller than the premier room that I stayed in this time, but it was just renewed, so it was a beautiful room.
The study desk is small, and there is not much space for PCs and documents to be opened up at once.
This is the “Corner Suite.”
The room was very luxurious.
The bathroom had a bathtub, shower room, and a TV. The bathtub has a jacuzzi and a separate room with a sauna. There were tow sinks. The toilet is in a separate room.
This is the “Premier Suite.”
I was surprised by the size of the entrance. This is one of the best royal suites, and it was a wonderful room. There was a bedroom in the center of the room with doors on both sides.
There were two semi-double beds that were big enough.
You can see the living room form the bedroom.
There was a TV and a big desk.
The bathroom was stylish with a tiled circular bathroom. There was also a jacuzzi and a sauna.
How was it? My explanation got a little long, but did you enjoy learning about this beautiful hotel? The suite which I introduced at the end was exceptional, but the premier room I stayed in this time was also a wonderful room full of dignity. If it is a premier room, it is not possible to get out of the price, and since I came to travel with great effort, I would definitely recommend it to those who want to stick to a room that is relaxing. It is located in the center of Taipei city, so it is a convenient place to go anywhere. I think it is a hotel that is good for both sightseeing and for business.
