“Regent Taipei” is blessed with convenient transportation. It is a 6-minute walk from Zhongshan MRT Station and close to the bus stop. Although the appearance is not amazing, the interior is unified in black and silver, creating a luxurious space. It is located 3 km from Ximending and 3 km from Chiang Kai-shek Memorial Hall.
I would like to introduce this hotel that is blessed with such good location conditions.
The exterior looks like an office building, but I was surprised by the fact that there were flags in front of the hotel.
There is a roundabout in front of the entrance and cars, busses and taxis can park outside. There is plenty of space to get on and off smoothly even if it gets a little crowded. Pedestrians can come up to the hotel by going up the stairs. The entrance with big windows made the hotel look luxurious.
The front desk is right by the entrance.
The lobby is spacious with relaxing sofas.
I stayed in a Deluxe Double Room on the 12th floor. The floor corridor has warm lights with a luxurious atmosphere.
The door design looks a little old, but I was convinced that it is a traditional hotel.
The room is big and the color of the furniture is unified in brown.
There is a chair, a sofa for two, and a low table where you can sit and relax. There is plenty of space for when you have visitors. I was impressed by the fact that the furnitures were not old and dirty.
Kiwi fruit was served on the low table.
The flat-screen TV was built into the wall, so no useless cords were seen, and the remote control and information magazine were neatly placed on the TV stand, giving me a neat impression.
The desk is spacious and is easy to work at if you are staying for business.
The room key was a flat metal key. Because it is unsual for the key to not be a card it was very interesting.
When I opened up the cover on the desk, there were outlets that supported 220V and 110V power cords. In addition, TV input terminals were available.
The king-size bed is big and clean. I had a good sleep on a comfortable bed with four pillows.
A phone and memo pad on the bedside table.
There was no door for the toilet space, but it is separated from the bathroom.
The tiled floor was clean and the bathtub was also clean.
There was a shower to the bathtub.
There was a shower head with a hose as well.
Shampoo, conditioner and body soap are placed in the shower and sink. In addition, there were a toothbrush, T-shaped razor, hair rubber, and cotton set on the sink.
Shampoo, conditioner and body soap in the shower room.
Bottles of water on the shelf by the sink.
There is a kettle, several types of TEA packs and coffee cups, glasses, teaspoons and more at the cafe corner.
A bottle opener and wine opener was in the drawer.
The built-in refrigerator had a full range of beverages. Wine and bottled beer can also be placed in the refrigerator cupboard.
Water and soda on the shelf.
There are two closets with nine hangers, three of which are clip hangers to hang slacks, denim and skirts. It is enough for two people.
There is a safe in the closet. In addition, there is an emergency flashlights and I appreciate the hotel’s consideration.
Slipper and laundry bags under the safe.
Sun light came in from the window, but I could only see roofs of buildings which was not very nice.
If you do not close the curtains at night, people in other buildings might be able to see you.
This hotel has a buffet restaurant “Brasserie” that serves breakfast as well as Sichuan and Cantonese restaurant “Akira,” restaurants in Hanaken, authentic Shanghai cuisine “Rantei,” Japanese “Sanjo Honke,” Teppanyaki “Robin’s” and two other lounge bars. Introducing the breakfast buffet “Brasserie.”
The staff will guide you at the entrance. This restaurant serves breakfast buffet, lunch buffet, afternoon tea and dinner buffet.
The cieling is hight, making the room feel open. The restaurant was a little dark, but it was relaxing in the morning.
There were many kinds of bread.
Cheese, ham and smoked salmon.
Dishes are small, so you can enjoy many kinds of food.
The pool on the roof is about 15m long. There were deck chairs by the pool which was nice and relaxing. You can enjoy a view of the city from the roof.
In the basement of the hotel is a mall called “Regent Galleria,” lined with luxury boutiques.
Popular brands such as Hermes, Louis Vuitton, CHANEL, Bulgari, Bottega and Harry Winston were included in the mall.
The inside of the Galleria is spacious, but there were not many people.
There are also shops on street such as Louis Vuitton and Prada near the hotel. I am not familiar with old buildings, but it is a unique cityscape.
It is a 5-minute walk from the hotel to Zhongshan MRT station at a distance of about 300m. There is an airport shuttle bus from Taoyuan International Airport in 45 minutes. Sightseeing spots around the hotel are within walking distance, including the National Taiwan Museum, Huaxi Street Night Market, and Chiang Kai-shek Memorial Hall. Located near the MRT (subway) station, you can easily move around various tourist attractions in Taipei.
All the staff were sophisticated, friendly and pleasant.
This hotel is the largest hotel in Taipei and is located in the Zhongshan area of Taipei, making it convenient for shopping, dining and sightseeing.
