I decided to stay at "Capella Ubud Bali," because an Instagrammer called Jamie Chua stayed here during his trip to Bali. It's a private space hidden in the deep mountains of Ubud, and it is also an inn that I have always been interested in.
What is the appearance of the hotel? Check the entrance and reception
The hotel was like a small village located at the end of a small alley. After the car security check, you can see the rice terraces on the premises.
This facility, which is based on the concept of a luxurious campsite, is not paved even if it goes all the way up to the mountain road, and you will be given a stick to use like when you are hiking. I had a nice walk in the nature.
This is the entrance to the main building.
There was an open-air lobby.
A relaxing sofa in the lobby.
The staff was very polite when checking me in.
There are only 23 rooms in all. As mentioned above the concept is camping, so the rooms are are called “tents”.
The 23 tents all have different concepts and this time I stayed in the “Photographer Tent.”

What is the Photographer's Tent like?
A gate leading to the tent.
The name of the tent.
Guest room entrance door.
Many pictures of native Indonesians were displayed in the room.
The bed was comfortable to sleep on. You can ask for a thin pillow if necessary.
A stylish sofa dna table.
The leather chairs and fur rugs all use real cow fur!
A desk by the window.
The rooms do not have a TV to encourage guests to enjoy the nature and relax, but they will bring one in necessary. If you open the curtains, you can enjoy a breathtaking view through the transparent vinyl sheet, so watching TV is a waste. At sunset time, you can see the sunset in the valley.
The room had a terrace with a daybed.
There were chairs and tables on the terrace.
There was also a private pool. It is the best luxury to be able to swim in the pool with a nice view of the valley.
There was an outdoor shower. This is made based on the image of bathing in the mountains. I felt very comfortable taking a shower here.
Shampoo, conditioner and body soap.

Bathroom
There was a bathtub and shower room. It was comfortable in the bathtub even though the color was gold.
There was shampoo, conditioner and body soap in the shower room. There was a hand shower with a small shower head, but the water pressure was just right. Hot water will come out properly, but please be aware that if you use hot water for a long time, the water in the tank will run out and turn into cold water.
Toilet.
Double sink.
Hand soap, body lotion, bar of soap and insect repellent.
Inside the drawer was a toothbrush set, razor, cotton swab and a loofah towel. In Bali, where the NO plastic movement has been active since last year, I thought it would be wonderful to use body towels made from 100% loofah instead of using chemical fiber scrub towels. I feel that the inns where world celebrities often visit are highly aware of the environment.

Hotel Surroundings
Half of the hotel faces the valley and is a distance from the hotel to the main road. Since it is located in the mountains, there are no nightclubs, no noisy restaurants and not many people on the streets. It is even safe to go jogging on the main street.

Staff and Guests
There is a butler for every group of guests staying. He was very kind and polite and I have no complaints about the hospitality. Conversation went smoothly and he explained about the rooms in a very engaging way. Since everyone is interacting with the intercom, I felt that the system was such that even if the butler left his seat, all the other staff members would support the guests instead.
I only met two Western couples this time. This hotel is more for adults. There are also many celebrities from all over the world who stay here.

I didn’t go directly from the airport this time, so I don’t know the exact time, but I think it will be about 2 hours if there is no traffic. There are many luxury hotels around the hotel, but it takes about 30 minutes by car to reach the center of Ubud. The hotel seemed to be located in a safe neighborhood. It takes a little time to get to the center of the city because the hotel is in the deep mountains of Ubud. There is also a pickup and drop-off service that will take you to the city center.

Summary
I was able to make good memories at this hotel. Unlike the luxury hotel that I imagined, I was able to spend a relaxing time in nature at a hotel with great hospitality. The nature and perfect facilities seem to conflict with each other at first glance, but it turned out to be perfect after all. You can enjoy the sound of nature instead of the sound of TV and escape reality. This is a perfect hotel for couples and women to stay at. If you let the hotel know that you are making a reservation by reading this article, you will receive benefits during your stay.
