"AYANA Resort and Spa, BALI" is famous for the "rock cafe" attached to the hotel and is often published in magazines. It is also popular among women for their beauty treatment and massages.

I arrived at the hotel late at night, but the entrance leading to the lobby was lit up beautifully. Guests will receive a flower necklace at the entrance. The welcome drink was delicious and the towel had a nice smell of jasmine.

What is the Twin Room Ocean Front like?
Guest room entrance area.
I stayed in a twin room with an ocean view. The room was clean and spacious with impressive Balinese furniture. It was a very comfortable room to spend time in.

The bed was big and very comfortable to sleep in. However, there were too many pillows that took up a lot of the space.
There was a towel animal on the table with a letter placed next to it.
There was a balcony with a comfortable sofa for two. It was very relaxing. My room had a view of the ocean, but because I was on the second floor the view was mainly of the lawn. It was dark at night, so I was able to see the stars very well.

Bathroom
There was a big bathtub, sink, toilet and a shower room in the bathroom. Both the shower room and the toilet room had glass doors. There was no problem with the shower temperature setting and water pressure. However, if you don’t make sure to close the door to the shower room tight you might flood the floor.

There was soap, toothbrush, toothpaste, razor, cotton swabs, mouthwash, shampoo, conditioner and shower gel prepared. The shampoo and conditioner did not work well with my hair.

There were hangers and drawers in the closet to store your clothes. There was also a bag and slippers.
The safe was big enough to fit a laptop inside.

Beach by the Hotel
The weather was bad, so I did not get to go to the beach. The hotel is big, so it felt like a private beach. The “rock cafe” is nearby, so the beach was lit up as well. I was unlucky with the weather, but the sunset is said to be very beautiful from this location.

Facilities in the Hotel
There were various shops selling clothes, aromas and sweets. Everything is a little expensive. It may be cheaper to buy souvenirs and food at shops outside of the hotel.

I was a little disappointed that the hotel did not have a laundry room. If you swim in the pool or the beach you will need to wash your swim-suites by hand.

Hotel Surroundings
The hotel itself was like a village. In the Jimbaran area where the hotel is located, there were seafood stalls here and there, creating a local atmosphere. There were also other luxury resort hotels nearby, so it was a quiet and relaxed neighborhood. The famous Uluwatu Temple where you can see Kecak Dance was just a short taxi ride away. It takes about 40 minutes to Kuta and about 50 minutes to Seminyak.

Staff and Guests
The staff were friendly and always smiling. They were always helpful and responded to my needs politely.
There were many Westerners and Chinese people staying at this hotel. I especially I met a lot of people from Europe. The guests were all very well mannered.

The hotel was surrounded by nature and it was very quiet. I it takes about 30 minutes to the airport if the roads are not crowded. There is a distance form the hotel to nearby cities, so it was a little inconvenient when going out for dinner of drinks at night. It is hard to get around on foot, so you will need to take a taxi.

Summary
It was my first time staying at this hotel and I really enjoyed it. The room had a nice atmosphere and it was cleaned everyday. You can relax at the hotel without making any plans outside. The main reason why I liked this hotel so much was thanks to the friendly staff. They were very warm toward the guests. If I have the opportunity to visit Bali again, I would definitely like to stay here.
