I decided to stay at “Hotel Nikko Bali Benoa Beach,” because it was reasonable. There is a swimming pool, kids club, convenience store and restaurants within walking distance, and also the beach was nearby.

The lobby was an open-air lobby with a simple design.

I arrived at around 2:30, but the front desk was not crowded.
There was also a bell desk.

What is the Family Suite like?
Guest room entrance door.
There was a mirror at the entrance.
My first impresstino was that the room was big and bright. It was big enough for children to run around and play around.
There was a big sofa and a table in the middle of the living room.
There was a bunk bed and also a trundle bed under the lower row, so even small children can sleep safely.

The room seen form the window. There was a counter and a bar chair at the back.
There were two chairs dividing the living room and the bedroom.
There was also a desk next to the chairs.
The bed was very comfortable to sleep on and the sheets were crisp and clean.
There was a veranda next to the bedroom.
There were two chairs, a table and a rack for hanging clothes. The wall was made of glass, so I was able to see the view clearly.
My room was on the 4th floor (top floor), so I could see the courtyard, pool and the ocean very well. Some rooms do not have a view of the ocean.

Bathroom
There was a bathroom next to the entrance.
The bathroom was big with a bathtub and shower room.
There was a shower in the bathtub.
There was bath salt and a sponge prepared above the bathtub.
Towels.
The wall between the bedroom and bathroom was transparent, so you can enjoy the view of the outside from the bathroom as well.

The shower room was big enough to get in with my children. There was a hand shower and a rain shower. The water pressure was strong and the temperature was easy to adjust.
Toilet.
A double sink.
Amenities were prepared on the sink. There was a toothbrush, comb, sewing set, cotton, shower cap, soap, razor, shampoo, conditioner, shower gel, and body lotion. There were only two of each.
Two bottles of water.
Hair dryer.

Closet and safe
There was a closet.
There was a safe, hairdryer, slippers, flip-flops, bags, hangers and an iron and ironing board in the closet. It was nice that there were hanger for children as well.

There was an illy coffee machine, instant coffee, chamomile tea and two bottles of water prepared on the cabinet.
There was also an electric kettle and cups.
There were drinks (charged) prepared in the fridge as well.

I had breakfast at “Grand Benoa Rest.”
The ceiling was high and it was a bright and open restaurant.
There were may kinds of bread.
Salad and ham.
Breakfast.
There was also a noodle station.
Japanese restaurant.

There was a show-case next to the front desk.

Facilities in the hotel
There was an outdoor pool with free towel rentals.
It was not a particularly big pool, but it was a lagoon.
There was also a section of the pool with sand which is perfect for playing with your kids. The pool was lit up at night, but it was too cold to swim in the pool after sunset.

Beach
There is a beach right next to the pool. There was no garbage on the beach, and the water was beautiful. At low tide, the water was very shallow.
The beach is lined with beach chairs and umbrellas. There are no guards at the pool or beach, so everything is at your own risk.

Hotel Surroundings
The street in front of the hotel was busy with motorcycles and cars passing by, but it is quiet once you get in the hotel. There are many restaurants within walking distance from the hotel which was convenient. There was also a convenience store just outside the hotel and a supermarket just a short walk away.

Access
It takes about 30 minutes by car from the airport to the hotel. There is a convenience store, currency exchange, restaurant and cafes within walking distance from the hotel. There is also a shopping arcade called “Bali Collection” about 10 minutes by car. I walked around the hotel at night and it felt like safe neighborhood. The hotel is located at the southern end of Bali, so it will take some time to visit famous tourist sites such as temples and zoos. This area is more more suitable for doing marine sports.

Summary
I had a nice stay at this hotel. It was a reasonable hotel and a waste just to stay for one night. It was nice that there was a pool, beach and even a kids club. Since beach towels can be rented by the pool, I was able to go to the beach empty handed. Check-in time was 2:00 pm, but despite checking in after 2:00, the room was not ready yet. I left my luggage at the front desk and played in the pool, but it took about an hour to get into the room. However, when the room was ready the staff called me on my cell phone and brought the room key to me. They had already brought my luggage to the room and apologized. The service was very good.
