I decided to stat at "Fairfield by Marriott Bali Legian," because it is a well known, yet reasonably hotel. There are many cheap hotels in Indonesia, but I preferred to stay at a luxury hotel.
What is the appearance of the hotel? Check the entrance and reception
There is a small parking lot for 4 to 5 cars in front of the hotel two guards standing. A river runs across the road in front of the parking lot.
The lobby had a high ceiling with stylish lights hanging.
There were many sofas prepared in the lobby.
Flowers were decorated here and there.
There were three check-in counters and a porter who managed my luggage. I received a welcome drink with ginger and it was very delicious.

What is the Deluxe Room like?
Guest room entrance door.
I stayed here for nine nights and stayed at a total of four different rooms, all of which used similar furnishing. The only difference was that the higher grade rooms have direct balcony access to the pool. The rooms with a higher grade are on the first floor. All rooms were clean and comfortable.
The mattress was bit hard with four long pillows. The bed may feel short for some people. Due to the high humidity the sheets were damp.
There was a phone, alarm clock and a memo pad next to the bed.
There was an outlet on the other side of the bed.
Across the bed was a luggage stand, desk and a TV.

Bathroom
There was a shower room in the bathroom. It was clean and bright with a glass door.
There was a height adjustable and removable hand shower and an overhead shower. The water pressure and temperature was easy to control. In addition, shampoo and body soap were prepared next to the shower.
There was a toilet with an extra role of toilet paper prepared next to it.
There was hand soap, tissue, glasses, toothbrush, comb, and a shower cap prepared next to the sink. It was enough to spend the night.

Closet and safe
There was a closet with a mirror on the door. Inside the closet were about eight wooden hangers, flashlight, laundry bag, safe and slippers.

Mini bar and cafe
There was an electric kettle, cups, two complimentary bottles of mineral water, instant coffee and tea prepared on the desk.
Bellow the desk was a fridge, but it was empty.

Restaurants in the hotel
There was a restaurant called “Tebu Merah” that offers breakfast.
Breakfast was offered buffet-style and there were many dishes to choose from. I personally recommend Nasi Goreng and Mie Goreng.
A semi-outdoor seating.
There was also a bar at the back.
The back of the bar was an open terrace with a pool.

Facilities in the hotel
There was an outdoor pool which was popular with many families. There were bead cushions and deck chairs lined up by the pool, and there were also adults who enjoyed their own time while watching the children’s play in the pool.
There were guests staying from all over the world, and I enjoyed the multinational atmosphere.
A gym available 24 hours a day.
A meeting/banquet room.

Hotel Surroundings
The hotel is within walking distance to Starbucks and McDonald’s. There is also a currency exchange and a small supermarket nearby which was very convenient. The Double Six Beach or Krishna near the airport is a good place to buy souvenirs. There were also many other locations with interesting shops unique to Bali.

Staff and Guests
The staff were very kind and always there to help. It was a pleasure talking to them.
The nationalities of guests were diverse and there were especially many families with children staying. It was very lively at the hotel.

Access
The hotel is located in a safe neighborhood with many tourists, but it is best to avoid dark alleys and stay on the main road. However, I have been told that there are many young people who steal from you, so be careful. There is a shuttle bus that will take you to the airport, but I recommend talking a taxi because it is cheaper. I mainly travel around by Taxi or on foot.
Various shops were lined up on the way back from Double Six Beach.

Summary
I had a very nice to stay at this hotel. The price was reasonable, but I received many rewards and was able to have various experiences. I also enjoyed talking with the staff and other guests. The sunset on Double Six Beach which the staff recommended was great. I got a new recommendation from the same staff, so I’m planning to visit Kuta Beach next time. I would love to stay at this hotel for a longer period of time I visit Bali.
