Chatan is located in the central part of the main island in Okinawa. It is a resort town filled with an Okinawa charm, with convenient access to Naha Airport and major tourist destinations. There are many marine spots and attractions such as "Mihama American Village" and "Sunset Beach" where the sunset is beautiful. I have put together an accommodation report for popular hotels in Chatan. Please use this as a reference when selecting a hotel for your trip to Chatan, Okinawa!
Hotel Lequ Okinawa Chatan Spa ＆ Resort
“Reku Okinawa Chatan Spa & Resort” is a new resort hotel that opened in March 2020. It is a luxurious hotel with a big natural hot spring pumped from the underground of 1,400 meters, which is rare in Okinawa, and an infinity pool overlooking the city of Chatan and the ocean.
The colorful building blended in well with the “American Village.”
The Premier Corner Room was about 47 square meters wide and was very big. It was a stylish and functional room with many outlets and plenty of space to store my luggage.
There was a roof top infinity pool with a gorgeous view of the city. You can also see the sunset if the weather is nice.

Vessel Hotel Campana Okinawa
“Vessel Hotel Campana Okinawa” is located in “Mihama American Village,” an urban resort area in Chatan, Okinawa. A 1-minute walk to “Chatan Sunset Beach,” the ocean view rooms have a gorgeous view of the East China Sea. This is a family friendly hotel with free amenities for kids.
Located by the beach, the colorful building consisting of two buildings, the main building and the annex.
The Sunset Junior Suite was 51 square meters in size, and was a calm and relaxing room.
The view of the ocean was beautiful. You can also enjoy the sunset if the weather is nice.

Hilton Okinawa Chatan Resort
“Hilton Okinawa Chatan Resort” is an urban resort hotel adjacent to the resort town “Mihama American Village.” It is easily accessible from Naha Airport and is in a good location where you can easily get to popular tourist spots. There are many rooms with ocean views where you can feel the charm of Okinawa, and it is a hotel where you can fully enjoy the tropical resort with plenty of facilities to enjoy such as the pool and spa.
The hotel is a 9 story building that is built along the beach and most of the rooms have nice ocean views.
I stayed in a twin room for three people and it was very spacious. A room with a simple yet sophisticated impression with blue walls. There were interiors where you could feel Okinawa everywhere. The additional amenities were arranged with a little playfulness. There were so many outlets here and there which was very convenient.
The hotel had two outdoor pools; a “lagoon pool” and a “cascade pool” which could be accessed with a room key. There were several families swimming in the pool. Also, at the time of check-in, you can get the key of “Double Tree by Hilton Okinawa Chatan Resort,” so it seems that you can use the two outdoor pools here.

DoubleTree by Hilton Okinawa Chatan Resort
“DoubleTree by Hilton Okinawa Chatan Resort” is an oceanfront resort hotel overlooking the west coast of Okinawa. Adjacent to one of the largest commercial facilities in Okinawa, “Mihama American Village,” you can enjoy shopping and enjoy the exotic cityscape. The hotel has an outdoor pool and other facilities such as a gym and a spa. This is a relatively new hotel that opened in June 2018.
The hotel was facing the beach and was adjacent to the “Mihama American Village.” It was a 5-story simple looking building.
The Ocean View Room was about 30 square meters big. It was a simple room using natural colors. I was able to spend a very comfortable time.
There was a balcony that overlooks the beautiful ocean and the “American Village” in a distance. The buildings lit up at night were beautiful.

La'gent Hotel Okinawa Chatan
“La’gent Hotel Okinawa Chatan” is a hotel that opened in 2018. There is a hostel area, so you can interact with other people. The hotel itself and the room was very clean and beautiful. I was able to stay with no inconveniences. I received a welcome ice-cream during check-in which was refreshing after a long trip. American Village is within walking distance and guests can rent bicycles as well.
The hotel was a five story building that was new and beautiful.
The “Superior Twin Room with a Balcony” was a big room with large windows. I was able to have a relaxing stay.
I was able to see a beautiful sunset from the room.

Rinken's Hotel
“Rinken’s Hotel” is a new hotel that opened in January 2018, adjacent to Mihama Town Resort American Village. In front of the hotel is Chatan Sunset Beach. The hotel is a resort hotel where you can enjoy entertainment every night and Okinawan cuisine at “Rinken’s Kitchen” and the live house “Kalahai.”
The hotel is a part of the American Village. It is an Okinawan building with a white wall and red tiled roof.
The Beachside Room is stylish and luxurious. It is big and the interior is brown based on white, the bedside was blue and the overall atmosphere was calm, but the sofas and cushions with bright colors were gorgeous creating a tropical feeling.
There was a live house adjunct to the hotel. You can enjoy Ryukyu music, folk songs and dances and explanations about Okinawan instruments.

The Beach Tower Okinawa
“The Beach Tower Okinawa” is a resort hotel facing the beach, located in “Mihama American Village.” The hotel has a hot pool facility that can be enjoyed all year round, using natural hot springs. Based on the concept of the Family Five Star, they have a full range of services and support families with small children.
The hotel is 24 stories tall. It is not a new hotel, so it did not look very luxurious.
The Standard Room has two twin size beds and a queen size bed and the room is 46 square meters. The room was quite large and there was a separate bedroom for twin beds. The room was large enough to accommodate four adults, so I was able to spend a comfortable time. It was a very nice room.
There is a hot spring called “Churayu” with a heated pool that can be used all year long.

Beachfront Tower Mihama by DSH
“Beachfront Tower Mihama byDSH” is a condominium-type hotel that opened in November 2016 in Mihama, Chatan-cho. All rooms have an ocean view. There is a mini-kitchen and a washing machine with a dryer in the room, and there are various supermarkets and restaurants around the hotel which is very convenient.
The color of the hotel was red, black and white which was simple and modern.
The Deluxe Twin Room was like a studio room with two beds, a sofa, a desk and a table, so it was small, but the walls were white and the windows facing the sea, so the whole room seemed bright and open.
“Araha Beach” is a popular spot to watch the sunset and I was able to watch the beautiful sunset from my room.
