I decided to stay at the "Hotel Yokohama Garden," because I had plans around Yokohama Station and Minato Mirai, so I was looking for a hotel that had good access to the station. I was also looking for a reasonable hotel. There are many restaurants, shops and convenience stores nearby, which is very convenient.
What is the appearance of the hotel? Check the entrance and reception

The hotel was next to the Yokohama Stadium.

There was a doorman standing at the entrance who opened the door for me.

There was a front desk on the 1st floor, but it was not being used.

If you go up the escalator there was another front desk on the 2nd floor. This was where I checked in. The lobby smelled very nice. The staff handed me a warm towel to wipe my hands with and even guided me to the elevator.

Sofas in the lobby.

What is the Yokohama DeNA Concept Room like?

Guest room entrance door

There are five Baystars rooms on the 7th floor. There was a carpet with a turf pattern similar to that of the Yokohama Stadium, and there was a logo of Basetars on everything in the room. The room was a bit old, but the humidifier, coffee maker and the electric kettle was of the brand “Panasonic” which I liked very much.

The entrance door and the bathroom door

I was able to sleep well on the semi-double size bed. The pillow was a memory foam which was very comfortable to lay my head on.

Bedside table

TV across the bed

Humidifier

A table and chairs by the window

Posters of a baseball player were hanging.

I was able to see the Yokohama Stadium form my room.

There was a terrace, but I was not able to go outside.

Bathroom

Bathroom

Bathtub and shower

The shower had a strong water pressure and I was able to wash comfortably. The temperature was also easy to adjust. However, the bathtub was a bit old and creaked.

Shampoo, conditioner and body soap.

Amenities included a comb, razor, shaving gel, toothbrush, body towel and a cotton swab. Equipped with foam hand soap, shampoo, rinse and body shampoo. The towels had strings on both ends which was very unusual.

Toilet with no seat warmer.

Mini bar and cafe

There was a coffee maker, electric kettle and coffee. The cups were from the Baystars shop.

There were glasses in the refrigerator. There was also beer, water, tea, carbonated water, and energy drinks. The energy drinks were 190 yen which was a reasonable price.

Hotel Surroundings and Access
You can enjoye the Nippon Odori where the Naka Ward City Hall and Yokohama City Hall are located, and the downtown area where the Yokohama Stadium and Yokohama Chinatown are located. If you walk straight on Nihon Odori, you can get to the beach in 10 minutes. The Elephant’s Nose Park, where you can enjoy a stroll while enjoying the view of Minato Mirai with the red brick warehouse and the cosmo clock. There is also a shopping center in front of JR Kannai Station which is very convenient.

Staff and Guests
The staff and the front desk offered to uprgrade my room to a Baystars concept room which was very kind of her. I was also able to chit chat with the staff casually.

There were many elderly people and salarymen in suits. There seemed to be many Japanese people staying overall.

Summary
The location of the hotel was very convenient. If you are going to the Yokohama Stadium it would be the best hotel to stay at. Minato Mirai, the beach, Chinatown and other sightseeing spots are almost within walking distance, and it is at the corner so you can enjoy the view from the window as well. From the entrance, I felt that the atmosphere was not just a business hotel for the price and reputation. There were some dusty spots in the room and the toilet seat was cold, but the amenities and service were very satisfying. The most impressionable thing about this hotel was the staff who were very kind and caring. I had a very nice stay.
