Detailed review & photos “Shin Yokohama Prince Hotel”

The hotel is a 42-storey high-rise building, so you can see it from a distance. In addition, next to the hotel is a group-affiliated commercial facility “Prince Pepe” which is connected with a walkway.

It is a round building with the name “Prince Hotel” at the top.

There was a car port at the main entrance, and limousine buses and large sightseeing buses from Haneda Airport were parked at the front.

The entrance door was round as well.

If you come from the station on foot, you will most likely pass through this walkway.

The lobby was spacious.

The ceiling went up to the 3rd floor and it was a very open space.

There was also a self check-in and check-out machine next to the front desk.

The elevator hall was gorgeous.

The ceiling was high and it felt as if I was in a mosque.

There was a closet next to the entrance.

The room was very big with a calm atmosphere. There was a living room in the foreground and a bedroom at the back. There were mirrors here and there in the room.

The bed was a large king size bed that was very comfortable to sleep on. The sheets felt very nice.

Two pillows with different hardness were prepared.

Pajamas felt very nice on my skin.

There were tables on both sides of the bed with a phone, light switch and an outlet.

There was a TV in the middle of the room.

You can spin the TV in which ever direction you like, so you can watch from both the bedroom and the living room.

There was a desk with a large mirror above it.

There was a comfortable sofa and a table.

There were two big windows, so the view was splendid.

My room was facing the east side, so I could see Minato Mirai and even the Yokohama Arena!

The bathroom and toilet were in between the living room and the bedroom. There was a large mirror between the bathroom and the toilet.

The shower and bathtub were in the same space.

The shower curtain was using a nice fabric.

The shower was a removable hand shower. Water pressure was strong enough.

Shampoo, conditioner and body soap were prepared.

The sink was spacious with a stool to sit on.

Amenities were also provided on the sink. There was a toothbrush set, shower cap, razor, ladies set (cotton, hair clasp, cotton swab, hairband), bath gel and a lotion set (cleansing, face wash, lotion, Latex). It was plentiful.

Two bath gels were prepared and it was nice for those who like relaxing in the bath.

The toilet was in a separate room across the bathroom.

The toilet had a washlet function and a small sink next to it.

There was a closet next at the entrance. One side of the closet door was a mirror. There was an extra blanket and pillow stored inside. There was also plenty of space to store my luggage inside.

There was a safe.

There was a cafe corner under the desk.

Electric kettle, teapot, cups, ice bucket, glasses, coffee, green tea, and Hojicha were prepared. I enjoyed coffee while enjoy the nice view.

There was a fridge, but nothing was inside it.

I had breakfast at the buffet dining “Köchel” on the 2nd floor. I was staying during the Rugby World Cup, so a rugby fair was being held.

There were plenty of tables in the restaurant.

Many dishes were lined up.

Fruit, pudding and ice-cream.

A chef will cook stake for you on the spot.

I enjoyed a variety of dishes.

There is a bar lounge called “Top of Yokohama” on the 42nd floor which is the top floor of the hotel. There was also a “Top of Yokohama Teppanyaki & Dining” restaurant on the 41st floor, one level below.

There were counter seats facing the window, which is great for couples.

I ordered an afternoon tea set and it was delicious.

The cocktail was delicious as well.

It was a very nice bar lounge with a splendid view of the city.

There was a Japanese restaurant called “Kijima” on the second floor.

There was a Chinese restaurant called “Bakodo” on the first basement floor.

There was a convenience store on the first floor.

There was a fitness club and spa on the first basement floor.

This is the fitness club reception. You can get a discount if you show your room key.

There was also an salon in the fitness club.

There was a laundry room on the second floor. Rather than a laundry room, it was installed in a corner of a floor.

There was also a currency exchange machine in the lobby.

I saw foreigners from Europe and the United States who seemed related to the Rugby World Cup. I also saw pilots and flight attendants staying.
